No no no...wait...pushing your tweeters to 200Hz is killing it...tweeters can generally handle down to about 3KHz region with some exceptions of 2KHz region, and that is it. Yours is active right? Think you come down Wed and get some comments first...

fuazan. did i hear wrongly? ractis coming down?? woah.. we got something to see liao!

why u reset the jordans back to 1.25khz? u scared 200hz will damage it ah?

have u emailed them how much output it can handle it at 200hz? best is to come from those horses' mouths lor ...

tazster:

yo, mr Seas! if free must pop by wednesday meetup mah... share share the seas power power. especially now that ur midbass error's been corrected, must be even better liao!

its a HU limitation. If i connect my jordans to the high output, the lowest I can high-pass is at 1.25khz. but this way, cannot pass the emma 3-tone 5 position track leh

sorry i just took out my p18 last weekend, replaced a pair of these

http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.c...tnumber=290-307

these are quite high-q woofers, they do in fact produce more bass than my p80, but they are more boomy and midrange of course isnt as good as the seas p18. i guess i should let them run-in a bit more and see if they open up nicely

as for my jordans, I should think they can comfortably hit 95db when crossed at 200hz/12dbslope. It was recommended they are highpassed from 150-400hz 1st order slope (in a proper sealed enclosure) anyway, if I drop by I can bring an spl meter and let you test :)

sarong, i'm using the jordan jxr6 as my tweeters/midrange, they go down quite a bit more than usual tweeters ;)

fuah 150hz 1st order. 95dB nominal, not max output rite. so max, being about twice as loud, maybe 101dB. scary leh, hope the cone dun fly out halfway hehehe. cos at 101dB 150hz 1st order, it's 95dB at 75hz if flat, but since it rolls off it isn't flat, but still doing lotsa work!

the enclosure helps dampening, so if urs isn't fully enclosed gotta be careful at the lower ranges, it'll be extra stress if u're hitting Fs often and loud. stay lowish output at Fs if not properly enclosed, safer.

wah goldwood midbass, where u dig up these toys ah, the forum which address?

interesting leh. low Fs for its size, but low sensitivity too. .87 Qts, impressive! but Xmax 4mm for a 6.5" diameter, sounds limited in the amount of air it can push leh. the P18 probably Xmax at least 6mm and it's 7".

i donno what u're after in this Goldwood. you trying to flat down to 31.5Hz isit? i'm already flat practically down to 50Hz or slightly lower, running without any boosting/EQ. also not enclosed. what's stopping me from just plain whacking it is i'm having resonance in my door at collectively from 90-100dB. so i tune it down to siam the resonance, hence my flatness down there suffers. if i try to flatten it by boosting/EQ up, the 2nd harmonic whacks my door resonance again and i die 2nd time. i'm resigned to using my bluddi sub to supplement income.

but the L18 rolls off at 40Hz by hardly very much. on C-weighting i'm quite certain i got flat down to 45Hz and anything less below that was my HPF at 44Hz. still, it yielded only a -7dB at 40Hz even with the HPF on at -24db/oct. factoring in the radio shack meter's insensitivity at 40Hz of -3.5dB, if i removed the HPF it could very well be flat down there too ...

so i believe ur P18 potential is there. unless u didn't milk it fully? so .. if u're not going for 31.5Hz i donno what u're going for!

Ractis, ok, I got what you meant. I think we have to listen to it even after applying the theoretical logic to it. Let's see what the folks can do to help, more heads the better. Cheers.
