Actually, when i first sat in your drift machine...i was shocked to see you actually had ICE...cause most of the race/drift cars all strip until only got shell and nothing else haha..

 

Next time while drifting, blast your ICE also la...maybe the sound also will drift with the car

Well, I still like to maintain my car as a daily street car. Most of the drift cars out there for D1 are totally strip down cars.

 

I was just very glad and contented when during D1 GP round 3, after inspecting all the other cars, he chose mine for a demo run, my heart soared. Either it was the anime girl on my car that got his attention or the fact that my car still looked and felt like a normal everyday car.

 

Hmmmm, tires... I guess I spend around $100 per month on tires for my rear cos I usually go up to Gelang Patah at least once a month for a little dori-dori getaway.

 

I like good sound systems and appreciate my friends' rides when they are nicely ICE'd out. For me, I enjoy my music, etc. at home and leave the car for pure brutal fun

Stay with what you have, enjoy every single bit of it. You will already probably know what is missing in the reproduction but be contented. I have mentioned before that it is a never-end to achieve the unlimited with limited resources. Either you surrender or the system surrender on you.

 

So, pls enjoy the music and software you have accumulated over the years. When was the last time you really tap your toes and snap your fingers with the music?

 

I see more hands raising up in the car aimming for the middle of the windscreen nowadays in the meetup than snapping the fingers and swaying with the rhythm in the cars. Cheers. The best is yet to be...

eh bladder, i urge u better think twice lah. today i went to listen to the b m zhupzhew home audio showroom. something wrong with their system leh .... at first i donno what's wrong, so i listen real hard, concentrate, ask him off all the lights until only the can see the illuminated display on the electronics ....

 

so i close my eyes on his reclining chair and i concentrate ... then i raised my hand ... then i know liao. the charbor never sing from my left side! wah piang, like that still dare to sell for a few thousand dollars?? i think he better go home and adjust his TA one more time.

Sometimes I think it's so contradictory...the things people say. Enjoying the music is the "purpose", yes. But the means to an end? No need? Be contented, not everybody can...tolerate, maybe...that's why we call it poison.

 

We all can enjoy music, no matter what your setup is, or how "badly" it sounds. Believe me, you still can enjoy music. Remember the days when we had nothing, just a simple stupid "walkman"...everyday just pop in a cassette tape with cheapo earphones, enjoying music on the bus ride...we still enjoyed music right? What about those Filipinos in Orchard on Sundays, picnic with their guitar or a simple portable player? Still enjoying themselves.

 

Gone, these days are gone forever for us....

 

If really can still enjoy music without trying to properly reproduce it, why play ICE? WHY PLAY HOME AUDIO? Use a farking mini compo lor....still can enjoy music mah.

 

If one is not bothered with the way the MUSIC is reproduced, then he can truely enjoy the music, and not call himself an audiophile...

 

So dun tok co*k....U are my most treasured friend, brother and confidant. But this one I cannot tahan...you know me well, I will cut anyone up like a sharp razor if I think it is so damn wrong.... I react because I still care....

The setup by the Enzer people at the Paragon showroom is terrible! The electronics which they use was Onkyo - I dunno whether they still use the same - which is pathetic for the class of speakers which B&W produces.

 

The same opinion goes for a lot of the demo setups at Adelphi - except for a select few.

The speakers actually sound a lot better at home!

 

Anyway, which model of speakers did you listen to?

I believe in what I have been doing and I know what I am doing. You may think I am trying to play saint, but I am not. Everyone learns from experience and grind it further as knowledge, short of reaching the wisdom. I am merely trying to help our ICE kakis further by transferring what I have learnt, I didn't ask for any thing in return. I find joy.

 

You should remember that I will once in while remind ourselves to really stop fiddling with ICE, pause for a moment and listen to the software we have bought and accumulated over time. That I have not changed till today. I find joy.

 

For the love of music and its reproduction, I continue to post CD reviews even though my ICE is gone. I find joy.

 

And if you can remember, I have also mentioned before that ICE and home audio is both and ART and SCIENCE, the difference I don't have to explain again. To be able to understand more of the interwined and sometimes complex relations of the ART and SCIENCE in audio, especially ICE, I find joy.

 

Everyone has their own style and preference of doing things, I was just stating based on what I believe and shared with COOLBREEZE90 and the rest.

It doesn't matter to me if nobody can tahan what I have stated, as long as one folk buys my idea and provoke some thinking process in him, I am glad and I find joy.

 

I have not induced people to dekit just because I have done so, I have never initiate anyone to come out with the "Bye Bye Sarong1" thread just because I have dekit. I didn't even announce it at all if you can remember.

 

As you have put it in the correct context. We seek to PLAY ICE, but what are we really seeking for while playing? We want joy right? We want happiness don't we? Therefore, I have found the joy and will continue to find more joy, in HOME AUDIO, that is.

but really, am looking at Home audio too... but not those 10 to 20k stuff.... not even those few k stuff... just wanted to start off slowly with a good cd player and speakers to listen to good music.... currently using the damn ^&^&^ philips cheapo cd player, with antenna broke off on 1st day I bought it or my computer.... not siok....

They always have those display sets for sale..

 

I know i bought my Yamaha Cinema DSP set (5.1 amp with speakers and woofer) for only $399 when it retails for $1099 because it was a display set and it had some scratches on top of the case....The moment i saw that price, i grabbed it :)

Works great...sounds great, nothing audiophile la but Yamaha to me for DVDs at Xbox...sounds better than most brands at that price, somemore got digital input that's why i bought...

 

They always got display sets for sale at really good price..you lucky you can get good deals there...got warrenty also.
