Dekit.....

Just heard some a friend that he is dekiting...

 

jus wondering how many more people are going to dekit...

 

Damn sad...

 

Anyone care to share their experiences as to why they decided to dekit??

 

maybe it might inspire some of us to do the same....

ICE is a phase in life.

If you lose interest in it, then its time to dekit.

There are many reasons to it.

 

One common reason is sudden enlightnment where he/she'felt foolish' to have spend so much money on trying to get the best sound, but the best is yet to be. So better to stop the search now and be contented with a simple solution.

End? Who says there needs to be an end?

 

Just like life...some people lose focus at some point in time about what they want out of their lives. Some choose to commit suicide and end the journey, some go into hiding (become monk or something), others face it and overcome it.

 

Of cos, the choice rests with the individual. I hope you're happy. I personally respect those who dekit becos they have achieved what they want, and decided that nothing more would satisfy...but for those who quit...

 

Pardon me pls. For those who know me well, I'm that straight-forward...

Generally, just get something simple like my set-up and just be contented listening to the music lah

I've seen many people spend tens of thousands on ICE for their cars. For me, I have very basic setup to listen to and that's it.

 

- Sony HU, M9900 that was around $990 when it first launched on special price

- Amps for my speakers and subwoofer, subwoofer amp was around $450, the other amp I got FOC

- Decent set of speakers that I spent around $500 on

- Bazooka Subwoofer for around $400, got even a spare one free last time.

 

My ice in total, which pales in comparison to true ICE fans, is only around $2k+

But alot of other friends are doing so...

 

Though i know that you have started, i agree with kermit that it is not never ending...

 

I used to be very very demanding until i know that whenever u change something, the characteristics will change... so i decided to stick to wat i have bought... bacoz it produced close to what i feel is good...

 

maybe next time when i hit 4d or something, i will try to change something and see if i like it or not...

 

Though u have started dekitting, i do sincerely hope that u dun and just keep what you have and just continue this journey with us...

 

ICE is a never ending journey true but it is also a very interesting journey that will be filled with friends and knowledge....

 

For those that are also on the verge of giving up, dun fret, just come down and discuss with us what your problem is and maybe we can give you some advice...
