Front Speaker Compare

I am considering the following speakers. Please give me your feedback if you personally heard of any of them. I am using Alpine 9855 with build in internal crossover for active set up.

 

Not yet considered whether to use active or passive set up. If it sounds ok to me already in passive mode, I will leave it in passive. Else I will select my own crossover point and self adjust in active mode. Basically using Cadence 75w rms X 4 channel to power my front speaker. Currently no speaker, donated my MB Quart Discus series to my brother. Now looking to upgrade.

If you are not in a hurry, perhaps you can audit some cars first before you decide which one to buy?

 

Your Cadence 75w rms X 4 channel to power your new front components (total: 300w) is good enough to power any of your 3 choices but what is most critical to your pick is your choice of music preference that you normally listen to. Hope to see you this Wed at nasi padang ice meetup.

Yes, totally agree...

You seem to have a slightly large budget for speakers since the 3 you mentioned are expensive ones :)

 

Do come on Wed to audit...there're cars using Focal, Cube, Morel and other expensive speakers int he same range as those you mentioned so you can listen to them all and get a better choice to select the one you want...of course, you can forget about mine la...only DB...not in the same league as the Focal Be :) hehe

How much you paid for the DB Drive components speakers? Is it value for value?

DB drive is value for money for the kind of sound they produce.

 

the new Platinium series are just below $300, and thats for then 2nd in line spkrs.

 

pretty value for money.

Or got better speakers to listen to also...

Focal N6 BE 2 way Active is around $2000+-, confirm not under $1k, even for export set.
