Happy Chinese New Year!

Before you go trotting off to your friendly audio shark to buy any more stuff, u might wanna have a look at this: http://tom-morrow-land.com/tests/ampchall/index.htm

It's been around since 1990. Further discussion for the skeptical or interested can be found, for example, in this: http://forum.elitecaraudio.com/showthread....6&pagenumber=13

Through this, it might help to achieve at least 1 out of the 3 Event Objectives of the Ultimate Sound Challenge 2007: http://www.mptmotor.com/07_events_sound.html

which are namely these:

1. To further educate and promote the public in car audio systems.

2. To enhance in overall sales turnover.

3. Maximum exposure through motor sports events.

... and I sure as hell suspect it won't be number 2.

hmm? that date, u're referring to the link "Full Rules of the Challenge dated May 25, 2005".

the test has been running, as it stated, since 1990. the rules change a little over time as richard clark tries to polish up the test to plug loopholes etc. there are even 2006 rules, not just 2005. it's just that he has kinda lost interest since he's already pretty confident that his test has done its work, which was to prove that an unclipped watt is an unclipped watt. and now he's just doing it only for those who wanna pay for his time or wanna bet against him.

i'm just a little surprised that of all the "sticky" threads in so many forums, i only chanced upon this in some of the better forums around, i.e. www.carsound.co.uk, www.elitecaraudio.com. so i'm just helping spread the word.

it's a real pity he hasn't published statistical results. but one of the statement reads that nobody has even hit 65% correct answers. cos certainly 23/24 isn't fair to say there's no audible difference but even 65% has not been achieved to date.
