I still like it RED.

I saw a small meter built in the dash board,is tat a vacuum meter?

The tyres look sticky

But this red like pig liver red leh. I prefer bright italian red for this.

I think that's the chrono graph for your lap times. Just like the sport chrono package option for porsche 911.

The chrono looks damn identical too. My guess is it will not come as standard for this EVO X, may be an option too.

they shld have made it into steptronic mode.

If you take not of the auto stick shift that looks like a manual stick shift, you can see the 'D' position got + - for steptronic shifting. The steering column got the flappy paddles as well.

Maybe it's a stop watch like the one found in the Porshe. [:p]

My thoughts exactly... they loss a bit of originality on this one...

I feel that this Evo have become an everyday use car rather than a car build for racing..

Look at the equipment lvl. Must be quite heavy.

maybe it can be market to be against the bmw 3 series =

there were much complain about the current Evo, for the price it is selling, the interior quality is too cheapo which put off many potential luxury performance car buyers (BMWs,Audis etc. This is a good change. It will certainly enlarge its market which is currently for hard core performance niche market.

Yah. but guess is the car will be around 140k to 160k region. If the alcantara bits and the reclinable recaro buckets stay in the car, the interior will be a HUGE inprovement.

Though the chunky steering looks a bit like those in the Mazda MX-5 and CX-7. I quite like it. But the problem is the AWC switch and other buttons for the electronics are on the steering, which poses a problem for hard care tuners. They may have to re-route and find other spots for the switches if they wana change the steering wheel.

In fact, they may have to choose the manual version because the steering column with the flappy paddles will also have to go.

This is growing on me. This is a great looking car. I think its looks better than the Lexus IS car. This is how a sports sedan should be. [thumbsup]

eerrrr...how much would one of this be? [:p]

You mean the IS-F? the interior for that car looks just like any other normal IS. [shakehead]

And no DSG... they just use a more efficient torque convertor.

Thanks for the link [:)]

The equipment list for the prototype X seems really long. Quantum leap for the lancer evolution~ Who would have thought Evo would one day have a CVT type transmission [rolleyes]

CVT gearbox will kill the X, u know how sucky CVT is for acceleration ? [hur] . it is for the normal lancer ! [:)] X will get a DSG type gearbox !

personally i think it looks good but it remains to see how much it will cost....and how much C&C will mark up the price. looks fierce with some copying of the old galant shark nose. the galant was one fierce looking car and i think mitsubishi got the design of both the front and back right this time. [thumbsup]

still i think the IS250 looks nicer mr ah beng bro, but of course i am biased [laugh]

nice? the new lancer also looks the same.

exactly same shell even. [sweatdrop]

good news for wannabe evo modders? [laugh]

but for me.. this new model's butt ugly

looks like a sinister slitty eyed shark [thumbsdown]

Galant has been officially replaced by the lancer as mitsu's 2.0litre sports sedan. Mitsu motors japan will not be building any more galant series. Only MM America doing the 9G FATMAN ugly galant and will most probably carry on the galant series into the 10th generation.

So farewell to galant [smallcry] and hello lancer mivec! [nod]

Agreed.. but still wasn't expecting Evo to get a DSG gearbox either.. always thought that such performance cars are meant to be coupled with manual transmission?

I find we have similar taste in car exterior styling [sly] I agree fully Galant looks damn nice~

yeah. the shark nose galant damn fierce man. i always like the old car. it never fails to turn heads. especially the VR-4 model, i remember dreaming about owning one. perfomance and practicality. [sly]

but the GDI MIVEC technology of mitsui is not impressive. somehow GDI lancers have horrid FC with no improvement to power. [thumbsdown]

i used to think GDI was rubbish. but somehow lexus and bmw has managed to improve direct injection technology. the GS, IS and upcoming 5 series will be testament to this ! [flowerface]

i felt the same way too when i sat on one during the test drive , but when you drive start driving one . you will forget about the interior , it is made for fast driving , especially handling of all types corners . so much grip , you find excuse just to drive the car !!!

That's the thing that keeps me way from jap sports cars.. inside too plain.. I need my leather interior. haha.

The interior of this looks great.. But IMHO, the rx-8 got a better interior..

All seems settled with the new evo but now the exterior is fugly..

Cheers.
