Bleuzone 1st Gear April 22, 2003 Share April 22, 2003 Hiya, just wondering, my amp's a bit weird. I just sent it for repair cus something worng. It's working fine at the shop, but when I install it into my car, the amp like got no power! The sound that comes out softer than if I use the HU itself. But when I bring it back to the shop to test, seems ok. Connections all no prob. I got 2 amps, 1 for sub, one for speakers, and the sub's working fine. Its a 4 ch amp. Just connect the input and outputs, should be ok rite?? Does anyone have any idea? Feel like bringing it back to the shop and trade in for another one... ↡ Advertisement

Bleuzone 1st Gear April 22, 2003 Author Share April 22, 2003 I should think so. Tapped the power and ground from the 1st amp.
S2P2 Neutral Newbie April 22, 2003 Share April 22, 2003 why you tap from the first amp? the power should come in from battery all the way then split to two with the fuse box.....not tap from the first amp
Bleuzone 1st Gear April 22, 2003 Author Share April 22, 2003 (edited) Erm... Dunno how to explain... The power came from the batt, then at the power input for the 1st amp, I join another cable to the second one.I guess it works the same as direct from the batt... Bleuzone 1st Gear April 22, 2003 Author Share April 22, 2003 (edited) Hmm... But there are fuses on both the amps leh... Didn't bypass the fuses. Connected to the proper power input... Is it still bad? Edited April 22, 2003 by Bleuzone

Bleuzone 1st Gear April 22, 2003 Author Share April 22, 2003 Okie... But I think I'll go back to the shop tomorrow first... See if can change the amp. I think the amp maybe something wrong, cus I tried it on my subwoofer but couldn't work as well... The weird thing is that it works at the shop! But he uses his own connections and speakers... Maybe if can fix Fri I show you my DIY efforts... HAhaha! a bit messy I should say, but if it works, then quite rewarding...

Astralee 2nd Gear April 22, 2003 Share April 22, 2003 maybe u connect the circuit wrongly liao? possible? coz if u connect in series circuit, all tha current from yur batt will go to the first amp, thus not enough current going to yur 2nd amp liao. tat may be y it works in the shop but not yur car.
