I bought the scotch-brite from 3M microfibre cloth meant for bathroom kitchen, they are only $5.95 from homefix diy. Cheaper than those MF cloth that are hung at the car acessories section. Can't comment on the comparison between those that are meant for car, as I never buy the cars type. But find they as just as soft.

Some of those ABC shop sells Micro fibre cloth for $2 only. They are advertise for kitchen use. Bought a couple of them, and they are just soft, but I haven't use them yet.

do the CD-scratch test to determine if the MF can be used for detailing. Take the MF, rub it against the recording side. If you see fine scratches.. then no no. If not, you are good to go!

Just tested on a CDR, the el cheapo micro fibre is good to go [thumbsup]. One package comes with 2 piece of cloth, a big one and a small one.

But still prefer the scotch brite one, coz the fibre is really thick like carpet.

Hi all,

I have used 3M, cheapos and finally the best for $5 -> Sun Woo from Korea.

Available at Mustafa Centre - 3rd flr household/wares dept.

Thick like terry cloth and soaks up water in the drying up process and gives surface a final clean.

Just remember not to use bleach or fabric softener when u wash them.

just to add, the blend for MF cloth typically is 20/80% poly.. the better ones would have 30/70 blend. 20/80% is good enuff though.
