Speaker Help Needed

Is there anyone who can tell me the dimension of A5's fronts speakers??

 

I intend to shop ard overseas for speakers but I realised i dunno the size.....n do i need the measurement for buying HU for this car?? Coz i dun need any measurement for my previous ride.

Hi,

 

The A5 Octavia should be able to fit 6.5" speakers at the front. Please check again with Nets. He has upgraded his stock audio system in his car.

Note the mounting too, believe you are using back your present one. Some speakers cannot fit into it due to the screw mounting fitted to the speakers.

U mean the placement of the screws may be different? sigh~~ guess i can't make any purchase till i m back to Sin to check on it.

not the screw but the mount fixed onto the speaker for the screw.

Remember to check the depth of the speakers too. Too thick and window cannot wind down. I had the probelm finding good speakers with my A4.

Just sharing my experience.

 

I changed the front component speakers for my Octy Amb previously and when the shop tried to fit a Blaupunkt Velocity 6.5", they said the speaker is too "thick". So finally changed to Rainbow one.

I can check with the audio pple doing for CA tommorrow on this. However, volk74 is right that the depth of the speaker, ie. from the outer ring to the end of the magnet, cannot be too thick or the speaker can't be fitted in. Get back to you asap.

Paiseh for the late reply... not sure if you still need my help..

In my ride currently, I have fitted a set of focal components on the front; the back are still stock components (Blanpunk) given by CA.
