I got the Pioneer AVIC D3 from Amazon.com for about 1.2k (inc shipping/gst w vpost). First look I have to say its one of the best designed DVD player on the market now. It sits flush in your car and the buttons look great (not some cheena or badly designed graphic user interface).

+ points

- Connect directly to your ipod, can play music and video (must get optional cable)

- Customisable colored buttons (on the outside buttons, limited customisation on the GUI)

- Direct slot loading DVD/CD

- Can connect to Rear View Camera

- Very customisable sound output

Downside is built-in GPS can't be used, and Radio FM tunes to only odd frequencies (so no 95.0, 92.4FM)

For the price of 2 din dvd players on the market now (from dealers), i think this is a damn good buy. Only prob is warranty, let's hope it doesnt break !

but if FM cannot use properly then not worth it already leh

cos i think FM is quite essential

wonder if there will be a local version suitable for our local bandwidth

I'm currently listening only to 98.7, 91.3, 88.9. Hahahah

But yeah, i think you can install a revo on top of it.

Looks good...

But sadly, the US radio stations all odd frequencies only..

I bought a Panasonic HU from there b4....had to sell it back to the US at a great loss because i need radio :(

Pioneer US also has alot of models i wish they have here...like a Coloure screen P80...they have a similar model there but not in SG...here only got 8650 which isn't a P80 standard :(

Pioneer asia....are you listening? hehe
