Redune Neutral Newbie February 16, 2008 Share February 16, 2008 time to revive this thread! getting a twin weber soon.. but need to find mech to install and tune it first.. anyone can recommend?
Kyojin 1st Gear February 17, 2008 Share February 17, 2008 wah? DCOE? try Team Motoring. Look for Ah Keong. Twin carbs will be a bitch to synchronize, not to mention shoehorn into the engine bay to clear that firewall. but the power and responsiveness should be quite amazing! good luck and do update us! Redune Neutral Newbie February 17, 2008 Share February 17, 2008 not sure is it DCOE or not leh.. but the pic show solex leh.. is it the same as weber?
Kyojin 1st Gear February 17, 2008 Share February 17, 2008 oh, you getting from Swiftboi ah? you should check with him first. i've not heard of a "mikuni solex weber" carb. i may be wrong, but the pix looks like a Mikuni-Solex sidedraft carb.
So_nice 6th Gear February 17, 2008 Author Share February 17, 2008 wah u really hook up wif swiftboi liao? think i must ask him for KOPI money.
Redune Neutral Newbie February 17, 2008 Share February 17, 2008 yup.. he also not very sure.. hmmmm.. so it's different from weber?
Kyojin 1st Gear February 17, 2008 Share February 17, 2008 if it's a Mikuni-Solex, it's not a Weber. both are good brands. there's also Dellorto. all are used by the 4AGE conversion crowd.
Redune Neutral Newbie February 18, 2008 Share February 18, 2008 i thot solex and weber falls under the same company? so performance wise, should be around the same?
Kyojin 1st Gear February 18, 2008 Share February 18, 2008 no, it's mikuni-solex performance should be the same, but you may have a harder time looking for jettings/parts etc. from my understanding, most local Starlet and Corolla bros would be using Weber DCNF or DCOE.
