Well, kinda of shortlist my perference for spkrs to rainbow and bostons.

saw rainbows speakers yesterday, built quality appear good. just dont know how well it sounds compared to the boston pro 6.5 or 6.53.

And looking for amp

thinking of fitting it with either a nakamichi

Has anyone any idea which country the following items are manufactured in?

boston speakers

nakamichi amps

hi Luke,

dont think that link says where they are being manufactured. just wondering if they are made in china thats all,

heard that many are contract manufactured there a fraction of the cost and charged and high price.

Oh, get what you mean [;)]

If you wanna play safe, can get consider the CDTs (manufactured in USA).

I've heard the even though 'rainbows' are supposed to be manufactured in Germany, Taiwan made ones are available in the market [sweatdrop]

Agree. CDTs are a safe bet. In any case for the speakers you mentioned, better to get American branded amps. Orion is a good choice, Lanzar is cheap and good for entry level pple.

I agree [thumbsup]

I heard that Orion does not exist anymore. Not sure if this is true.

You will be buying the last of what exists in Orion if it is true

Since your car is not here yet,

take the opportunity to have a listen to as many systems to get an idea of how different components sound.

Bring an audition disk to the next meetup.

Maybe we can meetup and i can give you a listen [jawdrop]

anything that you are used to listening to. [idea]

Everyone listens to different stuff, so one system that is good for someone may not necessarily be for another person.

Music taste lah.

Different systems setup for different kinds of music, just like home hifi.

Yes they are (Orion)! They're still US made and cost quite a pretty penny!
