Yaloryalor 5th Gear August 31, 2007 Share August 31, 2007 Nice! I find the rear looks nicer than the front! Think PI may bring in this model pa? More choice the better for us.

Bentwy Neutral Newbie August 31, 2007 Share August 31, 2007 why you want to get an MPV and want a supercar at the same time? or you're here just to say you've got a fast car?
Bentwy Neutral Newbie August 31, 2007 Share August 31, 2007 nice! they should keep the interior... dunno why toyota always chooses the 'conservative' route.
Rtth84 1st Gear August 31, 2007 Share August 31, 2007 only PI will bring this in. Borneo cant bring in Japanese Toyotas except for the Royal Crown
Dwoon 1st Gear August 31, 2007 Share August 31, 2007 Hmmm.... pretty nice. Bt its such a pity the 3.5 ltr model comes as a 6 seater and not 7.... It might be the solution for those wanting to have a more powerful car which can also seat more passengers. If it does come here... I'll definitely want to check it out. Hope its not too expensive as well..... So far, there's not many powerful 7 seaters available.... least to say in Singapore. The Territory turbo is one such car, but its not available here and it'll cost a bomb when imported anyway.
Mroonws Clutched August 31, 2007 Share August 31, 2007 I think they choose this engine for drivetrain purpose.... Mark X RWD... Camry FWD... They surely don't want their MPV to have a big hump at the centre....
Yaloryalor 5th Gear August 31, 2007 Share August 31, 2007 I am not sure either. Heard that BM will bring in Wish end of this year.
Yaloryalor 5th Gear August 31, 2007 Share August 31, 2007 Is it? I thought for new models the intial lauch will be made by Japan then maybe mass order will be from Thailand made. The BM's Rav4 and Pinic is from Japan rite?

Solution already exist: Estima 3.6 V6. Available thru local PI only. Powered by dual-VVti 2GR-FE, the same engine that might be used in X-Seater. I had witness its true color during one northern trip, and I don't mean just doing NSHW alone. That V6 Estima can dance around trunk road corners and continued to deliver pulling punches in straights. It actually shamed some TC rides in the same convoy. No kidding! I was surprised with its nimbleness given its bulk. It certainly not just another Picnic manifestation. Wishcumstrue 6th Gear August 31, 2007 Share August 31, 2007 2.4 four-cylinder camry engine and its going to sit 6 or 7 persons? IMO its seriously under power. Spec indicate likely to be a 4/5 capacity. Toyota is priming JDM launch coming this Sep 26 Two flavous might be available: 2.4 2AZ-FE DOHC & 3.6 2GR-FE DOHC Dual VVT-i http://toyota.jp/x-seater

Megalord Neutral Newbie September 1, 2007 Share September 1, 2007 Harrier underpowered? Then give the RX-300 a try. Still underpowered? There are plenty of models out there.

But I don't like sliding doors leh.... make it feel more like a van than a car IMHO. Edited September 1, 2007 by Dwoon

No doubt, sliding door has its advantages especially for mpv. But still there is ANOTHER choice...a non-MPV using that same V6 powerplant: Imagine what that +340Nm can do in a smaller car... ↡ Advertisement
