Bad experiences with Workshops

Hi all,

 

I can currently working on a project regarding the ethics issues surrounding car repairing workshops. Care to share with me your bad experiences with any particular workshop? Do tell me the name of the workshop and its address because we are going down to the workshop itself to check things out!

Are you s poly student or wat? I dun know wat type of modules you are doing tat needs you to do such kind of project.

 

Anyway I think the best is to approach insurance companies regarding yr project.

Hi,

 

Thanks for your suggestion. I am a university student and currently have to work on a project on business ethics.

 

In this project, we are supposed to identify car repair firms which maybe possibly breaking ethical guidelines and evaluate on them(whether they are valid or that customers are too demanding, what are the difficulties these firms are facing that made them resort to these unethical measures etc)

 

We have identified a few ethical codes which may have been breached and need to establish that they truely existed.

 

After which, we are supposed to narrow down our work to focus on a few workshops tbat are supposedly involved in such act and investigate on them. (We need your complains!)

Pls help us by sharing your complains either on the issues we have thought of or any other issues not listed as well.

 

Issues we identified:

 Not valuing their own warranty

 Not informing when apprentice performing repair/ allowing inexperienced apprentice to work alone on cars

 Delaying on repair work to earn rental from replacement cars

 Overcharging

 Replacing spoilt parts with
