Benson Neutral Newbie September 26, 2007 Share September 26, 2007 Planning for my 40K servicing. Went to Song Yi to get spare parts Air con filter = $20 Air filter = $10 Oil filter = $4 Asked Song Yi any recommendation on servicing agent and they recommended Gary from Esso station along lavender road (opposite the eminent plaza) called Gary and his quote is quite reasonable (around $25 for the basic servicing) and he mentioned that he gets his parts from Song Yi and the price is the same (which is a plus as song yi prices are quite good) can i ask the board has anyone sent his chevy to gary for servicing before, how was it? I am driving Aveo 1.4 Auto, gary mentioned that i need to change my automatic transmission oil as well, is it necessary? thank you and best regards ↡ Advertisement
Benson Neutral Newbie September 26, 2007 Author Share September 26, 2007 after searching the board, which someone recommended RDY, i called them up to check the price. even after i told them i will bring the above mentioned parts + own oil, i was quoted $154 the breakdown as follows: 24 points Servicing = 30 Spark plug = 26 Aircon filter installation = 10 Auto transmission fluid = 88 Is this package worth it? Ah_veo Neutral Newbie September 27, 2007 Share September 27, 2007 though $10 not a lot of $$$, but i think aircon filter can diy on ur own. juz pull out the glove compartment, take out the old aircon filter, and fix in the new one. less than 5 mins job on your own. and since u'r buying own stuff from songyi, why not get the spark plugs from them at the same time?
