Hi Orca! Welcome to MCF fellow Swede owner

 

My first suggestion is to go for reputed brand of rims and also a reputed shop to fit them. The shop must balance and fit the new rims that you're getting with the correct center bore or adaptor ring if necessary.

The last time I bought my rims from Stamford BBS RK2 and fittted on my E36,

my steering also got vibrations.So,this time I really feel like going back to original

but lack of mon$.

More aless was alignment & balancing not right when they fitted the wheels, Usually, tyre shop will carry out warranty, U can bring back to Stamford rectify.

Mondy is right, if there is any vibe problems with new rim/tire combo, the tire shop should rectify as part of the sale (warranty).

 

What is your saab's PCD?

Dunno what's my PCD but can find out with trans. Regarding alignment thingy, I did go back to kao pei and did all the stuffs, still couldn't make it! Went to another old hand to do it again with only slight improvement. That's why I worried if I change to after market rims.

Do check out your PCD and that'll make rim shopping easier.

 

Also if the balancing and alignment cannot be solved the rim may have some manufacturing defect.

Just call up trans, they could only tell me that my offset is 49. Is offset the same as PCD?

Nope, offset is how much the wheel sits inside the wheel well whereas PCD is the bolt pattern diameter.

 

Is your Saab a 9-5?

 

for 9-5 PCD is 5 x 110, Center bore 65mm and offset should be 35-40mm. Is Trans sure about the offset of 49? That's really a deeply sunken wheel!

95 that is. The angmo guy told me the offset is 49 leh. Didn't even know what PCD meant. Like that how to buy rims???

Correct off set 49. PCD should be 110 x 5.
