This car to me, is a classic example of soft honda paint at work. Just about 6 mths old, washed once a week or two, either by the owner or hand wash at petrol kiosk, "protected" by an am**ing PPS after collection, was found to have tons of scratches or wash lines all over the car. check out the following pics:

Some of the after pics do not tell the full story..... Although they look very clear, there are still some stubborn lines which i could not remove after 2 rounds of buffing with powergloss and cutting pad on a rotary and decided to take whatever improvement i got.

Process is as follows:

1) Wash n clay with Durogloss shampoo

2) Rotary with Green LC pad and IP

3) Rotary with Orange LC pad and IP

4) Rotary with White LC pad and PO106FF

(Steps 2-4 on horizontal panels, 3-4 on sides, front n rear bumpers used PC instead of rotary due to the sharp angles and small areas)

Finishing:

After a rinse to get rid of all the polishing dust, the car was hand prepped with Ultima's Paint prep plus. I had quite a bit of problem using tis product as it refuses to be wiped off easily no matter i use a dry or damp applicator pad.

After i was done with the prep, i applied the Ultima Paint Guard Plus (PGP) with a dry MF applicator pad. First time using as well, the instruction says to use a little and it goes on easy. However, i had some problem checking which area i went to before and ended up with a bit of streaking prob. This is a "Spray, wipe on and walk away" product, but i had to do a bit of final wipe after an hour of drying before applying a 2nd layer.

i have the same problem with Z-CS,used little and apply with an applicator.Under the shade,it look ok but went expose to the sunlight,ice-cream everywhere..In the end I used a QD to go over again..

I think dark color are more obvious,Bro Marcos are using it with no problem..his is a light green.

Yes bro, this PGP and Optimum's Opti-seal may work better on lighter colours. I tried both the ultima and OS on half of my ride each and had to go over the whole car with a mf towel as final wipe.

Although that defeats the purpose of such products, the time taken for that extra wipe is actually very short cos a few light swipe solves the streaking prob. I felt that qd was not required. Was worried that a qd might compromise the protection.
