Mitch Neutral Newbie May 17, 2002 Share May 17, 2002 Can anyone share your experiences the correct way to wash-dry-(even condition?) normal stock car mats? ... wah, sounds like washing hair man....! ↡ Advertisement
Turbobrick Neutral Newbie May 18, 2002 Share May 18, 2002 I guess using a chemical cleaner like 3M carpet cleaner would be the least messy way and need less drying time compared to using water to wash
Mitch Neutral Newbie May 19, 2002 Author Share May 19, 2002 I though so too some months back during my first car mat cleaning. Thinking 3m carpet cleaner "blue" bottle should do the trick. Well, it really deep cleaned but does not condition! Later, the carpet fiber gotten harder and harder as days goes by (but not so HARD 'lah').... and some of parts of it starts dropping out.... . Feel like pouring softlan to soften it next cleaning.... kekeke
Turbobrick Neutral Newbie May 19, 2002 Share May 19, 2002 There's also the carpet protectant from 3M, U used that after cleaning?
Mitch Neutral Newbie May 22, 2002 Author Share May 22, 2002 Sure, will try out. But have to find a day when I am not driving... else gotta place towels on the car floor when the mats are hung to sun-dired. Was also thinking..... just change the mats every 2 yrs 'lah'!.... stock ones or tuning ones looked equally great!.....only problem.... ah.... guess. Neilchua Neutral Newbie June 11, 2002 Share June 11, 2002 I vacuumed my car over the weekend, and when I tried to do on the felt flooring of the car, I see that the fabrics of the flooring seems to "fray" after running my vacuum hose over it. Quite scared to do "agressive" vacuuming as it seems to hurt the flooring. ↡ Advertisement
