there are some well known FS masters that don't even know bazi or zwds....one example is LT

what they do is apply some well known 8 Mansion theory to place the humans and objects into the house.. without considering how these placement will also have a bearing on the inherent deficiency in the house occupants' bazi or zwds.

But must really beware. A fren of mine engaged this "consultant" who did it for him and ask him to buy some $10k of stuff... he is quite a high profile one. honestly, i think this is not very good. from biz point of view, u may generate a lot of income from selling such stuff but its like not so good lor. being a practioner, I think u should use the cheapest and easiest method to help ur client cure so to make their money worth and i don't agree with selling things which cost a bomb to ur clients. I can think of things that can substitute certain expensive so-called "fengshui" items, logically an experienced "master" would be also able to, do u really need to buy something that u almost can pay to fabricate it to your own favour? my 2 cts again...

of course, i do agree...in fact my principle is that if i set up my fengshui business, i should not ask my client to buy fengshui item that costs more than 1.5times the fengshui fee....but i do understand certain item pricing are beyond the control of the master, because it could be charged expensively by the service provider ===>eg. artist that did the painting etc. of course, there is also way to source for the cheaper painting which is what i did for my own house....keke

i have seen such cases you mentioned...eg fengshui consult fee about 1k - 1.5k, fengshui items cost 10k...if the client is rich, he still has a choice......but if the client is poor, it is a sabotage....because the poor client probably have limited budget to spend after setting aside the 1k or so fengshui audit fees.....then if he has to forgo buying the 6-7k fengshui items, then his house fengshui also half done.

but i dont think all cases is possible to do fengshui just by shifting the positions etc. unless one is staying alone or very lucky, if not the chances of doing fengshui without buying anything is very low. i know one of the master in our neigbouring country likes to say that doing a fengshui is purely about positioning. but i am afraid most times we cannot do fengshui by purely shifting people around the house, especially not in sg context.

I understand what you meant but putting aside the rich or well to do trying to get richer via FS, usually pple who consult FS master are "down and out" and driven by desperation to turn their a*rse luck around. For these pple, whether they are majority or they formed the minority, how to cough out a few Ks to do up the place?

As regards buying things to improve the FS of an estate; I'm not quite sure if it is a must because I've seen the house of a well known FS master who appeared on TV during Chinese New Year Celebration Show and who owns a FS company in Fu Lu Shou Complex. He sold FS ornaments ranging from Jade Pi Xiu to Crystal Qi Ling, etc. and would advise believers to buy these stuffs to enhance their FS after consulting him but the best part is; there isn't any of these things so-called FS ornaments spotted at his place [nod]

Unless you tell me the FS of his place is excellent and fault free, the other explanation to it is that he'd enhanced the FS of his place by placement of furnitures and strategic positioning of things, etc. So the question is; are these FS ornaments necessary or are they just gimmicks to booster the FS master's bank account? [hur] Am not throwing spanner at your theory but a genuine doubt after having sight of his house [nod]

actually in doing fengshui as like doing any other projects, there's always alternatives. there's always an econmical way to do it. but i also don't believe in SG context, 100% of all cases can be done at no additional cost to the fengshui fee. why i say so? in sg context, our houses are small, we don't have a lot of idle rooms or spaces in the house to play around with. even asking ur renovation contractor to change the placement of the pipes etc also incurrs cost. as such, it is almost impossible 100% of times to not spend money by shifting the person or the usage of a room around the house to achieve the fengshui effect.

but having said that, i am as much as you, against fs masters who make money out of unnecessary steps or people who cannot afford it. fs is a soln trade. If your soln are too pricey, you are effectively not giving a solution. the most important is to tailor the fs solutions to your client's needs. I do believe the poor clients' fs problems can be reasonably resolved by using cheap solutions like water, colour, placement and cheap fengshui items as well. well but for some rich people, they are not satisfied with a 70% effective solution. so it is also not wrong to let the richer people who can afford it more, spend more on fengshui then.

as for that master, i think i know which you are referring to. I don't think highly of that master as well.

Yeh...I guess there are just some unscrupulous ones out there trying to fleece every penny out of your pocket [sweatdrop] And some applies hard sell techniques to push their products [nod]

My client went to this place (used to be located at Pple's Park Complex) to have his Bazi/ZWDS read at $200 and ended up being "pushed" to buy crystal ornaments over $7K [dizzy] I guess it didn't help him much cos till today he is still complaining about their business practice. Anyhow...they are all over Singapore now!! With their kind of business practice and price tag, it should come as little surprise [nod]

haha.....pple's park complex, i think i know which one...

i got 1 friend, went to this one to ask how much it cost to match guy bazi with hers (cos she wanted to get a suitable boyfriend), then this shop tell her 2 x $128/$168 which means it is 2 times the price of reading 1 bazi.

i told her, this pricing is ridiculous....if for every prospect she has, she need to pay 2*$128 or 2*$168, then she will end up very poor even before official dating if she has say 4-5 prospects which aint suitable....

plus her own bazi is repeated in each reading, doing matching bazi shldn't be so expensive.

some FSM believes that the home should be placed to fit the "bazi" of the master of the house. one example is a husband having Dong-Zai-Ming while the wife is Xi-Zai-Ming. So should the bed be positioned in the DZM or XZM??? Usually they will use the husband's.

Those FSM who does not use "bazi" at all are doing it wrong.

I've met a FSM who simply said "As long as u are comfortable when u first enter the house...then you can buy it. Then call me in to adjust the finer details". That was when we were doing house hunting...and he didn't even want to smoke me into paying him money for that piece of advice.

haha, i don't know if the adage can't do too much fortune telling will shorten one's own life....

best is to only tell them what to be careful and what opportunity to exploit.

They are making money and have branches in many areas now. Anyway my client happened to be the "down and out" type so he got no choice but to believe them and ended up signing credit card and pay the $7K by instalments, i.e., drowned further into debts. I didn't see his luck increased significantly though [shakehead]

I was thinking to myself, cos they also provide home FS analysis...if reading of Bazi/ZWDS already can land you a $7K plus bill after walking out of the shop, the total bill for home improvement should be [shocked]

That was why I was so sceptical about the whole thing of FS ornaments [nod]

correct, there's where i differ from traditional masters.

i won't blindly say must follow the hubby one.....a lot of these traditional masters only followrules blindly. but actually these rules were set with some cultural norms applicable in olden china times and may not sit well with contemporary practices of singapore or any other countries.

aiyah, there are a lot of quacks in this profession. even the well known ones do have some quacks.....

is very easy to scare the client not to do this or that by very superficial understanding of the study.....for instance if they see ur horoscope animal pig, they will say at all costs, avoid matching up with snakes.....that's a very irresponsible way to practise fengshui

some quacks even say that cannot get married or give birth in year of tiger. Amazing.

In a good year....there's bad days....In a bad year...there's good days.

ps for your information, that master's firm did a name analysis for my friend...

alto generally not wrong, there were some very fundamental errors i detected..

this same master did the fs for my colleague. i see the fs report, the bazi indicated in the report completely wrong!

my view is that well known isn't always better in this trade.......well known means they need to recover more on the advertising budgettongue.gif

cultural norms plays a part. but husband and wife are also yang and yin objects. So some FSM use this point to justify using the husband's bazi for calculations
