Inline Skating Schools?

Besides Skateline, what other alternative "schools" provide inline skating classes? Any recommendations? Family want to learn skating, so will be kids from 4 & 7 and also wife.

 

Skateline not good? I learnt my inline skate from them, very good, my skills improved dramatically. Their instructors are professional as in they dressed with proper safety gears. I have seen other schools instructors did not do that while conducting classes. The image is not there already but of cos that's not the reason for not choosing them, up to individual.

That's because they're not doing it properly.

 

It's alright to fall forwards onto your hands if you're travelling slowly, but if you're moving at high speeds, it's always safer to slide out the fall by cushioning with your thighs, butt, back and elbows - try falling at high speeds in an ice skating rink, you'll see what I mean.

 

The problem that beginners face with falling backwards is that they tense up and forget to tuck in their heads to prevent striking the ground.

 

The most important rule of falling is to relax, so your body can cushion the fall. More often than not, breakages and injuries are sustained when skaters tense up and forcibly break their falls in an awkward manner instead of flopping to the ground in a controlled way.

 

There is once when I am practising my skills, I saw a lady (probably a beginner) fall backward with her hand landed first, next is saw her forearm bent And I have to quickly skate over fast to stop her fren from lifting up her broken arm (crazy fren). After she left with ambulance, surprisingly I cannot perform all my skills well liao hahaha....

 

Skating can be fun la, you can see a lot of incidents, be it fun or bad. I also ever saw a young lady wearing bikini and fall and her bikini strip came off, her fren have to quickly hug her from front to cover her .....haha too bad at that moment i was behind her
