i found a chiang mai trip for 300+ 3d2n

If its for two.... its quite a good deal..... considering airfares are already that price. Or the price you mentioned does not include the airfare surcharges.

315 consist of airport tax transfer lodging breakfast.

If you wanna do cheaper by DIY, then use budget airlines. Go to tigerairways webby and check out the return fare to Chiangmai. Should be about $130. Then get your own hotel which costs about $50/night. Two nights = $100. Airport transfers ~ $10 each way....

 

So depends if you want to really stretch that dollar (savings about $70 but w/o breakfast)..... savings might not be much since you're travelling alone.... but if its 2 pax.... you'll already save on the hotel aspect since one room sleeps two.
