Ended New Year's Day with a faulty brake switch,

which mysteriously went dead.

 

Called Jafar yesterday, who immediately identified

the symtom to a faulty brake switch: gear shift lever could

not shift from "P".

 

Towed to Ubi workshop this morning to get it fixed.

The 2-year warranty expired 10 days ago. Bill came to

just above $100/-

 

Appealed to the manager for warranty replacement.

After deliberating with Jafar, (out of my presence) and

presumably checking my servicing records, goodwill prevailed.

 

I thanked the manager profusely.

 

Yes, Happy New Year to me, and to all Skodians here

and everywhere.

hmmm, yours is the 2nd of such case that I heard ..... faulty brake switch.

 

Well, at least they waived the bill out of goodwill and surprise !!!! THEY HAVE THE PARTS !!!!

i went to buy 4d and cannot get home because of brake switch....i changed mine at servo for $60....excluding carpark charges $13 . tat was ard end oct 07.
