Advice on Dealing with PI

Hi All,

 

I am getting a car (Colt Version R) from PI and m ready to sign all necessary paper works.

 

But there is a couple minor hiccups here. The SE is new (5 months in this industry) and they do not carry this model. However I decided to go with them because they offered a real good deal for the '08 facelifted version.

 

I requested for a confirmation from their Japan rep office to confirm the specs and car i or rather they are getting for me before i seal the deal. They said they have sent a request and currently waiting for them to revert. Its been 4 days and i have not gotten any update from them.

 

At this junction, can i ask them to list out everything on the sales agreement and proceed with the deal? (Eg. Mitsubishi Colt Version R (Manual) 2008 Facelift Model)

 

Pls provide me with your comments based on your experience or if you in this biz...thanks

If the car is not in Singapore or specs not confirmed.

Then the risk is 99% yours!

 

I will never sign it untill I see the car. Anything can change, black and white means NOTHING to some PI.

 

One may be smart and legally right when things are written clearly in the contract.

But when there are small issues, do you have the time and effort to sue them or argue with them?

 

Just look at the recent F**kel PI issues. Got contracts still need to top-up $$$, in order to get the cars.

Not all PI carry Colt Ralliart Version R 1.5M.

 

Usually this car is on indent basis.

 

I'm not sure the one which my customer just collected is the 2008 facelift model ... but it comes with HID, newer rims, etc.

Thanks for the advice. I think it is quite difficult to see this car because not alot of PI bring in this car. A few who is bringing in do not hv anything to show.

 

So far i gathered only a couple of them is getting their car soon. And others are waiting for shipment.

Thanks...i do agree. There are limited 07 or non left in Spore at the moment but i m quite sure Japan hv quite a few units left. They may jus ship me the 07 version and register under my name. By then there is nothing i can do.

 

Such a risk dealing with PI. I nvr encounter or feel like wat i feel when i bought my current car.

I have PMed and SmS him. Waiting for his reply. The price i have got is very good but the waiting time is terrible.

Just to let you know that for Colt Ralliart Version R 1.5M .... the estimated time for delivery is about 14-16 weeks.

 

This blue one that you saw here took about 14 weeks to reach my showroom from the date we order.
