Need to replace CAT Converter?

Hi All,

I'm driving a Hyundai and recently felt the FC went up. Car is around 4 years old. Have been regularly servicing it without fail with air filter cleaning.

Would like to focus the discussion to CAT Converters only.

Is there a lifespan to it? Is it possible it's due for change? I heard that the "burning" of unspent fuel with cause the material to breakdown and eventually block the CAT.

Any recommendations on where to get it changed and how much? Thanks in advance. [;)]

Afaik, if change, must get back the original stock one.

When I spoke with a certain exhaust workshop, they told me something similar. The cat needs some form of servicing after a while. How true it is... can't confirm, though the workshop boss quite experience in the trade.

Best is for u to check back with LTA. Also, poor fc can be due to use of lower grade fuels.
