If I order in my own touchscreen motorised screen DVD player from U.S., will I encounter any problem? i.e. radio channel tuning, compatibility with playing DVDs?

Thanks

Heard those who order from USA, they could only tune to the odd channel for radio.

Hi Bro,

FM Tuner Radio Frequency Range for 4 major world wide regions:

USA: Odd number 0.2 MHz Step 87.75 to 107.9 MHz

Latin America: Odd number 0.1 MHz Step 87.75 to 107.9 MHz

Australia: Even number 0.1 MHz Step 87.5 to 108 MHz

Asia: Even number 0.05 MHz Step 87.5 to 108 MHz

Using U.S.A. head units, you will not be able to receive local FM radio stations.

To illustrate, take just two FM radio station as an example.

U.S.A head unit with 0.2 Mhz Step will not be able to get 90.5 station.

It will give you 90.45 or 90.55 or 90.65 but not 90.5 Mhz.

Same for 93.3 Mhz, USA head unit will give you 93.25 or 93.35 or 93.45 but not 93.3

Hope this helps you understand a little better.

I guess Avix support AGIS GPS if not wrong, so far only Kenwood support Garmin type of map format.

AGIS is not so good, the navigation engine worst than MapKing.

Have been using for few months so far so good.

From what I know avix do not have the gps unit becos of no Singapore software map.

And the gps hardware itself cost $800 [hur] may as well get a standalone GPS unit like the Garmin ones.
