OK, just got back. Will upload some pictures tmr..

The price is like this, there are 2 versions for the 1.8T. Cant rem the name..

1) the Standard ver is 139k, no body kit,16' rims, no LED daytime driving lights.

2) The Enhance ver is 149k. S'line body kit, steering, seats, 17' rims, with LED lights..

Seriously, what makes this A4 so nice is the bodykit and all, so i wont even think of it as a 139k car. The interior is very well built. 3 zones climate control, bluetooth and multi-mode driving configuration. It has a much longer body, only 20cm shorter than the A6. So rear leg room is tremendous. The boot is huge too. The tail light when lit feels like Aston Martin's.

Seen the 3 series and C class... A4 beats them all pretty clearly. Only thing is that the 1.8T is still the Multitronic gear box. Only 2Litre and above gets the DSG.

The multitronic again [sweatdrop]

It will be interesting to see what is the OMV for the 1.8T enhanced version to command a price tag of $149k.

Not that i know of... yesterday is just a sneak peak in conjuction with fashion week. The actual launch will be in May. I think we will get more information by then. I think Beemer and Merc now sweat for sure.. It is clearly superior interms of design and interiors. Performance wise... i think not many actually will care.. Hor? [laugh]

One BIG avantage of buying turbo-engined Audi or VW is that the engine can be easily chipped, with at least a new different software to choose. I believe for PA, they tied up with MTM and warranty may even be keep (?) For the 1.8T, 250bhp should be no sweat. the only limitation will what torque level the gearbox can withstand.

Many A4 1.8T owners have souped up their rides very nicely. Profile of buyers are different from the 2L N.A model.

The car is soooo beautiful. What a grand event. Luckily i did not try to gatecrash last night... would have been shoved of [laugh]

Audi owners have been quoted 139K for the 1.8T and 188K for the 3.2V6. The 3.2V6 comes with quattro.

Actual specs not out yet.

Not sure how one forummer can $171K for the new Audi A4, that is the price of the Audi A5

yeah dude.. lucky you didnt gate crash..

So many ppl stood guard at the door.. still got laptop to check your names etc etc.. A very plastic event lah.. all the ppl dress up like crazy, esp the ladies. Not that i am complaining lah.. hehe

But it is amazing you always see the same ppl at this type of events.. fashion launches, watch launches, car launches... so free right. I go there for free too.. free doorgift, free food, free drinks and free show.. keke

Front - TT-ish with R8 running day lights. [thumbsup]

rear - hint of E92 3 coupe. [thumbsup]

Side profile - look like the old Rover 75 [thumbsdown]

gotta see the interior for further judgement. but basis photos from Geneva Auto Salon, it lacked imagination and look like a B7 A4. If only they also use some TT/R8 interior bits.

Miles:

For the interior, i must say they took a very safe approach.. everything is nicely laid out, buttons are nicely designed and material is solid.. there is a i-drive thingy in the middle with chromed sides, the steering is nice to hold... it is a big improvement from the previous A4. Now everything really looks expensive..

The biggest improvement i must say is the rear legroom. I usually drive with the seat pretty pushed back.. with that, the previous A4 doesnt gives much room to the person sitting behind me. But now.. it IS SPACIOUS.Good headroom inside, and still looks low outside. The boot is very generous too. When you are inside, you will realise it is very comparable to A6.

I think you get the best of both world.. Young and sporty exterior, yet spacious like the A6 class. Tried the C class and 3 series, the back is pretty cramp. For ppl who wants to see it, you may still catch a glimpse of it at the Ubi showroom. But until when, im not so sure.. They dont really wana display it now as the official launch is in May. Im gg down with my boss to take a look later.. think they hid it in the carpark and not the display area.
