Merc..still as solid as ever..

Last time I saw this old sch Volvo (very rectangular type) got into accident with a jap car along bt timah infront tan chong. The Volvo door is dented like the merc in ur pic but the jap car front bumper drop, fagments of headlights all over the road and a severly dented maguard.

 

I heard old volvo car doors had a piece of steel to reinforce the strength and I think it is really there!

 

Thou Volvo is expensive but it really give u the "ingredients"!

So called "tank like" Volvo (NCAP not yet existed) vs a super compact with 5 star NCAP

 

i think NCAP as in scientific approach is still the way to go...
