Madsumm 1st Gear March 5, 2008 Share March 5, 2008 There are a lot of misconception i belief. Most so call ID are actually more of having a relationship with their own contractors etc.. To most, this might not be an issue, but to me, its a basic conflict of interest. Usually, they say the Design fee is free as long as u get their contractors. But I soon realize that the fee they incorporated it already in the final price. Instead, I go for a separate designer. The designer basically works for me.. not the contractor. I can assign ANY contractors or they can recommend. So, my interests are kept. Not the money interests of the designer and their contractors. I paid the designer a fix fee.
