Acidic rainwater?

I have been noticing this for the last couple of days since it had been raining on and off. [smash]

I realised that after the rain had stopped, the surfaces of my car's rotors are filled with brownish stains.... I started to drive and brake...Braking is still efficient and effective as per normal. [thumbsup][nod]

Then today after the heavy afternoon rain, I noticed the same occurrence to my car. And I looked at the cars around me. Their rotors also have brownish stains..... [confused]

I am just curious. Is the rainwater getting more and more acidic? [confused][gossip]

Nope.. it's the nature of the rotor.. metal do rust..

thus when it's in contact with water, the process is hasten.

But it will be nice and shiny after some braking.

Nothing to worry about if you ask me..

but if you are worried, you can avoid driving in the rain next time.. or change to drum instead of disc brake [:/]

Cheers [:)]
