Actually, more commonly I heard from other car forums that there are quite a few workshops that charge $10 for oil change but must buy their engine oil. Anyway, oil change is lagi cheaper in JB.

Regards,

any good JB workshop to recommend? maybe can pay a visit next time.

Its at Caltex petrol station along Upper Thomson Road. There are 3 other petrol station side by side there.

I got tis lobang from MCF also. Long long time ago, I tink Gad had some neog with the guy and it was announced here. I've been going to him since beginning of last yr.

Change oil and filter S$10.

Change oil, filter and spark plug S$15.

He will help top up the various fluids and compress air blow the air filter. Very good service. [thumbsup]

but usually i will top up 1/4 tank and do some stuff to my wheels (e.g. rotate/balance/align) so go in JB better

Does he have lots have customers and is his service fast and efficient? I don't like to wait too long for oil change. Thanks.

Regards,

just a thot (never try this caltex guy before), i think overall might be faster (if u dun need petrol or other things) than going to JB [idea]

Oh yes i see this one, i used to eat in the hawker next to it when ever had a chance when i'm in.

See a lot of S'pore car do washing there, had thought of parking my car in front of this shop cos outside all full - HAha but not dare.

So they do servicing and tyre balancing? wat is the cost?

tyre balancing RM5 per wheel i think

oil change with own parts RM18. their parts, RM10. they will do basic checks for you as well. not sure if got extra charge for sparkies (using iridium, so i don't change my plugs so often).

i did a drum brake servicing (clean out the dust and tighten handbrake), RM18 for that [thumbsup]. that's separate charge from the oil change btw.. only thing is handbrake kena overtighten until it is partially engaged when handbrake is down. i lazy to go back, so i keep pulling until it loosen again [:p]

So can bring own oil and filter for servicing @ rm18.

Usually only notice the car washing and accessories shop, btw their workshop operates on Sat and Sun?

Hawk Tayar operates 7 days a week.

Good for general servicing, including balancing.

Ideally bring your own parts.

Can just leave car with workshop and go shopping across the street.
