Cstan Clutched May 9, 2008 Share May 9, 2008 Dear Friends, I need some advice from the good people here. I will be changing to an Evo X in less than two months. The new car comes with a JVC head unit and speakers which are thrown in by the parallel importer. I am thinking of trading in the JVC setup for a better alternative. I will be expected to top up extra cash for the better setup. I have a budget of $3000. And I listen to mostly Trance, Hip Hop, Pop and Rock music when I drive. I would like to hear your advice and recommendations. I don't want a subwoofer as the boot space is already small. Cheers, CS Tan ↡ Advertisement
Cstan Clutched May 13, 2008 Author Share May 13, 2008 Anyone able to help? Any feedback will be welcomed. I'm thinking of the following setup: Alpine IVA-W502E Head Unit Focal 165 K2P Upgraded Component Speakers Focal FP 4.75 Amp (4-Channel) Focal Speaker Cables It's going to cost more than my original $3000 budget. But I'm willing to stretch for it. Cheers, CS Tan

Dunno Neutral Newbie May 14, 2008 Share May 14, 2008 Yes, it will cost more than $3k. Get a sub, else your music don't get the ummph when you go loud. Low notes will be missing.

Bobcatsysop Neutral Newbie May 14, 2008 Share May 14, 2008 I am not sure how 'loud' is your Evo X exhaust, thus I do agree with Bro Dunno that you should get a sub and also need some sound proofing for your doors as well. Perhaps stretching your budget a little more.
