How to actually calculate the shipping charges?? i find it confusing to calculate the package using their tables heh maybe cos my maths fail.

Just ordered stuff from Amazon using Borderlinx. Had used comgateway before but it was a little messy, but did get free shopping from using HSBC credit card, so no complaining.

 

Lets see how Borderlinx perform.

Sorry I'm unfamiliar with the process with Vpost and Amazon.

 

I thought with our credit card details, they can ship only to our Singapore address we used to sign up for the credit card. No problem for Amazon to send to the Vpost US address for bulk shipment to Singapore (naturally in your case as you received your stuff it meant no problem)? I am now weighing Vpost and Borderlinx. With "weak" US$, buying stuff from there online is more attractive now :)

You should have read the prohibited item list

- perfumes / colognes / eau de toilette / fragrance spray

- nail polish / nail polish remover

- spray / aerosol cans / compressed gas cylinders

- fuels / gasoline / gas torches

- lighters with fuel / lighter fluid

- turpentine / paint thinner

- lithium batteries / loose batteries

- lithium batteries contained or pack with equipment

- speakers

- alcohol products / beverages

- flammable / toxic contents products

- cellphones

 

Previously shipped quite a variety of items back without problems, so didnt noticed they had a prohibited list

actually I understand most of the prohibited items are flamable hence dangerous to transport but speakers & cellphones?? ... I mean how big a magnetic field does a speaker and cellphone have since most come in packages much bigger that the actual items so any magnetic field effect should be greatly reduced already.

Understand some people also ship in vitamins and the such which is supposedly cheaper. Doesnt appear to be in the prohibition list.
