Freshmaker Neutral Newbie June 19, 2008 Author Share June 19, 2008 yep i think so.. anyway thats what the mec told me as well... say lighten flywheel will have this problem and ask me arrange a date where he can fully check my car why my oil press falls so low.. but whats the reason behind it? why lighten flywheel will cause this to happen? Route88 2nd Gear June 19, 2008 Share June 19, 2008 Its all got to do with mass, rotation, inertia.Your stock flywheel has been calculated ideal for your engine.Unless an aftermarket flywheel has been tested for your car, then others deem to be a failure. Route88 2nd Gear June 19, 2008 Share June 19, 2008 Ask your mechanic, maybe need tuning ? Or forever play ur clutch and accelerator so tat engine wont die when doing pickup.
Freshmaker Neutral Newbie June 19, 2008 Author Share June 19, 2008 ok thanks will send my car in next week for checks.. anyway it is not when picking up but during slowing down... for example when im approaching a red light, i rev and drop gear from 4th to 3rd, then upon slowing down i will shift to neutral when the speed is very slow... or sometimes when approaching red light then suddenly green light but car speed very slow, so i clutch in and shift to 2nd, the oil press will fall very low, and at times, hit 0 and engine stalls. this happens only 4 times altogether only... i got the clutch for 4 months plus only..... Eavr4 Neutral Newbie June 20, 2008 Share June 20, 2008 There is many possibilities to your problem hence more info is needed Basically I dun think its the performance clutch and flywheel giving you the problem. 1) Check your oil pressure 2) Check your fuel pressure 3) If you have a Boost or Vacuum guage, check those too, somewhere maybe leaking Check ALL vacuum hoses, ensure all are plugged in properly. If all the above checks out, then proceed with a) Check your spark plugs (No. 1 plug is usually the most worned out so checking that should be a good guage. b) If you have a BOV installed (Turbo car), check if there is any hissing sound during idling c) Is there any engine check light on? Cos' AirFlow and O2 sensor errors should trigger that (cause engine rev to be erratic). Oh, most cars no longer use plug cables, but if urs still do, have them checked.
