Sony 1st Gear August 2, 2008 Share August 2, 2008 the police for your case still ok... for my case is 10x worst then yours! i was at the roadside, of paya laber police station, and the customer of my (i am a taxi driver) just open the door and walk away, say not going to pay... then i go into police station ask for help, and 2 police come out with me... and that customer was waiting for green man to cross the road, i point to them that this customer do not want to pay me the taxi fare... and was there for 2 min looking at the man slowly cross the road, and what they did was using walkie talkie to call other police for help!!! and 3 of us saw that man slowly cross the road, i ask them why never chase?? they tell me they are to look after the counter, so cannot chase the man! and i got to wait 1 hour for them to raido here and there... until they say cannot find the man then i got to make a report before i can leave!! what police thinking man!!! now if anything happen, dun call the police... just watse time.. kick down that fellow and shout robbery.. pin him down and whack hard.. then tell police he stole your money.. coz technically, he's holding onto your taxi fare.. After work when i passed by joo chiat road, a fight happened. i was stuck on the tracffic light, a police car with 4 police man in front of me. So the fight conitnues and approaching to my car.. Chairs started to fly, hit my car a few times, they throw puches and kicks and somehow land on my car. Guess wat? i high beam the police car in front and they saw the fight, they didn't get down. so i follow the police car back to the station ( a few meters away) and asked them why? 1 of the policeman said "call to get help". Isn't police a help?? 3 of them is fighting and 4 policemen can't stop them?? to the SPF. Hi Calvin, Policemen are meant for deterrent purposes only (patrolling and sit at office writing report) This is obviously a riot case, so normal blue uniform personnel will NOT intervene becos first it is NOT their job/duty, it is the duties of the riot police guys. Second, as you may know dunken men is very unpredictive and violet and may HURT our blue uniform personnel should they get involved to break up the fight. I wonder if the SOP is to wait (which they are doing ) till the fight die down or break up before they start arresting the dunken people. ONLY when their lives is threaten, then they will use force or Pistol to warn/ shoot to injure. Not our police are like that, even our army also not much better lar.... Complain will give them more excuse say they are under staff, overworked, stretched etc... so next time they will ask for more budget, and end up who pay? Increase another 2% GST? Well, we could invest billions into US banks, or other foreign companies, and some making huge losses, and yet.... no money for our own people and country... Yet, what will happen in next GE... they will still win cos most voters are suckered to HDB upgrading, or upgrade their area, or have mrt at their area. So they have to inform tanjong katong hq for help.. But at least i got the warm smile from the lady officer. Yes, after 8.30pm all cases will be handed to the police centre not the police post. If that fight end up someone dead...bro...u can make a complaint about it. Police failed to stop and render assistance to stop fight and end up 1 or more dead.
