Kyojin 1st Gear August 5, 2008 Author Share August 5, 2008 it is not an experimental test there are even commercial products for such cleaning processes including SeaFoam and Subaru Top engine cleaner.
Kyojin 1st Gear August 5, 2008 Author Share August 5, 2008 it's not a test. this has been practised by many home mechanics. in fact it was used more often during the days of carburetors. they simply poured water down the carb, but i'm afraid to do that myself. there are few variations, including using ATF! anyway i said in the first post - engine revs more freely and it doesn't sound as "clogged". then again it could be because of my oil change or new spark plugs.
