Modykoh 1st Gear August 23, 2008 Share August 23, 2008 it could be alignment/camber angle.. i remember reading this article in "wheel"..the HDB multi car part always one direction up and down..this cause the one side tyra wear more then the rest... anyway...the ttya should be rotated every 10k ,if possible with servicing...all at one stop.. ↡ Advertisement

Simpleman 1st Gear September 2, 2008 Share September 2, 2008 Generally alignment of front tyres is sufficient. For front-wheel-drive vehicles. Some shops charge by the number of rubbers aligned. So can save a few $$.
Help1 1st Gear September 2, 2008 Share September 2, 2008 when u tok abt rotate n balance (that means rear tyres will take out, balance n fix to the front whereas the front will take out n put to the rear w/o balancing). All air pressure should be checked and top up if necessary after balancing is done. If you want to have all 4 tyres to be balance then you need to inform the tyreman. of course price will be different.
Help1 1st Gear September 2, 2008 Share September 2, 2008 that is the good practice that you adopt to ensure longer life span on the tyres...hopefully all drivers can learn from u and dun feel the heartpain when their tyres damage prematurely
Ender Hypersonic September 2, 2008 Share September 2, 2008 Sorry didn't write properly. I has changed to a new set of tyres. The workshop guy only balanced the front two wheel, but not the back. When I questioned him, he said only the front will do, the back no need to balance. Anyway I went to another branch after telling the boss my rides is bumpy. The other branch balance all four tyres for me, and am now satisfied..
Help1 1st Gear September 2, 2008 Share September 2, 2008 regardless of how many tyres change, one should balance unlike lorry tyres where there is no need to balance when change...that tyreman "tao kai"..he is trying to smoke u... ride is bumpy usually cause by excessive air pressure, if steering wheel wobbly is usually cause by lack of balancing...glad to hear your issue resolved ↡ Advertisement
