Anyone got personal experience with plumber to recommend..Thanks.

 

Need to rectify some leaking issues:

1. Toilet tap leak

2. Toilet bowl flushing button spoilt

3. Aonther toilet bowl base leaking

 

Me got face some 'not honest' plumber & kanna chop carrot before.

Call ur local HDB town council. Ask them to recommend one.

Town council normally outsource some work to external plumber.

The plumber will not anyhow charge if u tell him town council recommended him.

Point 1 and 2, I diy. Point 3 I have not come across. But I agree with the Town Council recommendation suggestion. My parents engage in their service before. Price is reasonable and standard of quality is there.

How his workmanship & any post-install warranty?

I have had this experience with a Town Council recommendation.

 

I was looking to change the dustbin cover - stock and labor including removal of existing cover.A contractor responsed and quoted me $285. I remembered some months back someone came around knocking at my door asking for $180.

 

I look at the clasified ads, call up somebody and was quoted $140.

Rates are quite competitive. i ever engaged for electricial from them, good market rate.

workmanship is good..as for post-install warranty, it depends on the complexity or the parts used.

 

best ask around from classifieds, hdb and so on...

Hmm..

I was quoted $270 to resolve the three issues.

Post-warranty 1 year

 

1. Toilet tap leak -> To supply new tap & button stopper inclusive of labor $100

2. Toilet bowl flushing button spoilt --> To supply flushing system with install $60

3. Another toilet bowl base leaking --> dismantle/assemble toilet bowl and replace water proofing casket $110

 

Manage to reduce to $250 & schedule this Wed for his service (2 hrs job)

Not sure if good deal or kanna carrot.
