care to share where u got it and how good/ useful is it?

Now selling mini laptops under 1k. Isn't it more mobile? U dun need to run your car at idling, waste fuel, pollute the environment. Just get a converter to charge while driving.

 

I find it funny when I see ppl use the clumsy wireless keyboard, bending downward to look at the screen. Somemore u gotto look for a wireless keyboard with built-in mouse.

 

I find that a mini laptop is more useful.

i install 2 years ago.... now removed & use in my home. Waste of time & money. Better to get a notebook (cheaper & faster speed).

installed my Mac Mini in my car and never look back since. I enjoy countless of movie and tv watching while driving to keep my occupants occupy during long trips :) I can also do my work and send email to my customers in a jifty. Most of all, i can control most of the function by using my Iphone. Check this out...

me not busy biz man so my ideal of carputer is so dumb...why would i want to stay inside a car to use computer? doesnt all these devices make ur car so cluttered? when u r out of office, u sldnt be so engrossed in work. even when u r on the road, i dont see a need that u make die die access files inside the car.

It depends on what is your objective. If your objective is just to be able to be able to have access to a computer/internet when on a car, a mini laptop suits your objective.

 

 

However.. a fully integrated carputer can offer much more...

thanks for all the feedback, a CARPUTER is something pretty uncommon i would say, not much people using it and can only find a handful of people carrying it.

Of course i still have time to drive. With my touch screen LCD, i dun have to use a mouse click on applications, in fact apple OS is so versatile, i could customise the application that i want to pop out when the car starts and i just use my finger to do the job.

 

Most of the time while driving, im using my carputer as a online GPS system and other car diagnostic reader. And of course watching mobile tv and movies and youtube on the go... hee hee

i have a SONY touch screen 2-din unit liao, wonder can tap on it then no need another monitor

you can tap to your sony monitor, but i guess your monitor does not have a vga input which means the wrodings you get will be kind of blurish from your computer. :)
