My Computer.. drive doesnt open..

I need help.. there shud be quite anumber of bros here who's good at dis..

 

When i go to 'my computer', i double click on the drive i wanna go in, it just didnt open. I have to click one time, right click and go to 'explore' then it opens the drive. Why is that so? How can i resume to 'when i double click on the drive, it will just open'?

my cuzin's com has similar problems to yours, but he can't even "explore" the drive..

dunno wats wrong wif mine also... one day aft start up. go to my computer.. then doble clicked my c drive.. didnt open

Could be virus or currupted file, if u have not change any setting.

could be too many downloads till infected wif virus also dunno.. recovery is the last thing i wanna do..

I believe this is the same virus I was hit with a while back.

 

Check your internet explorer. The title should have been changed to some nonsense. Google that nonsense and look for a cure.

do a scan. its a malware which prevents explorer from opening drives and folders.

yeah.. just did a scan a while ago.. its malware.. i removed it.. tried opening. still cant.. hmm... i got dis error message..

 

C:resycledboot.com is not a valid Win32 application..

 

now googling for cure

install AVG free http://free.avg.com/

 

reboot....and go into safe mode....then scan

It's a virus, all right (as you might have suspected due to the misspelling

of "recycled").

 

Start Windows in safe mode, then click Start -> Run. Type in regedit and

click okay.

 

Now at the top of the registry editor, click Edit -> Find. Type boot.com

and click Find Next. Every time it finds a new boot.com, press the delete

key and then enter. It should find a dozen or so copies.

 

Now, plug in any external drives or flash drives you have used with this

computer. Open My Computer. Click Tools -> Folder Options -> View and

select "Show Hidden Files and Folders" and click okay.

 

For each drive, open it and delete the "resycled" folder and autorun.inf.

Back up each autorun.inf before deleting them off external drives, because

they might be important.

 

Restart the computer and the problem should be gone.
