Customised decals?

I not good with car stuff .. i've heard that decals for windscreen .. can only be paste inside of the car .. bcos external factors such as rain & wind will cause the decal to come off if paste outside.

 

And if i wan to paste outside the windscreen .. I only can use stickers.

 

Is this correct ?

Vinyl Stickers can paste outside. Those stickers are those stick already very hard to peel off

 

Decals, that is used to hold your roadtax etc are easily removable and thus not suitable to stick outside.

yupyup..thats true between vinyl stickers and those decal

 

my vinyl sticker at the boot is still there after 1 year of rain and shine..

 

BUT not all stickers will stick nicely one..>>>>overall depend on surface area.

 

IF the surface area of the sticker is tooooo small, it might not stick long enough...e.g i tried to stick a 3 or 5 mm thick, 40 cm long sticker on my headlamp.... but within 3 days .. it will peel off one

I like to check if you are asked to advertise (just cut out vinyl sticker of logo and website letterings) for just a brand and website of total length 31cm and height 9cm on two sides of your car, how much would you expect to be paid?

It's ok to use vinyl sticker and stick outside.

 

Doesn't affect the wiper at all.

 

I have wordings stuck on my sunshade on the outside of my windscreen for years and my wiper goes over part of it. Sticker is still very much intact. Wiper is not damaged due to the stickers. Don't worry about the wiper.

 

If you want to stick wordings, I think you should use vinyl stickers rather than decals like those road tax holder type which are stuck on the inside. As most cars have tints, the tint will decrease the visibility of the decal. And if the car has an opaque sunshade sticker, there is no way you can stick the decal on the inside as well.

i am thinking of doing some stickers from my sticker contact (Adrian) .....

 

Sticker #1: my wife's name (below my name at the boot)

Sticker #2: at the side of the front bonnet ... design not sure.. still looking

Sticker #3: sunshade...... MAYBE ......

my fren's>>> the wiper can go over... the sticker not very thick..

 

but not advisable .. cos now the wiper can wipe over the sticker, does not mean that it can STILL wipe over it 2 years later hahaha
