iphone is just more like a hype and a toy to me; it may appeal to some, but not all. i don't like it myself, as i don't like the the shinny back cover, and there are too many limitation as compared with a winmo fone. i prefer winmo fones as i'm used to the windows environment.

i'm not sure if winmo fones have the dictionary auto correction. but even they do, i don't think i will use it as often times i may use abbrev for certain words but not all the time.... it depends on the word before and after. otherwise the word may not make sense.

winmo fones can also view all the conversation history with that person on the same page too.

the htc hd has a much larger screen than iphone (3.8 vs 3.5) and i like the all-black design.

good about iphone is that, wifi is speedier and the user interface is better than winmo. but, i'm not fazed by it, and doesn't bother me at all.

I have two lines under singtel. The discount that I get from them is a cash voucher for purchase of assessories, and also a phone upgrade voucher, calculated based on the amount of my monthly bills.

For year ending 2008, I receive a $120 phone voucher, and also a $30 voucher for other purchases, which I believe I can combine with my phone voucher.

I am also a Red Prestige member, where I get priority when I go into a Singtel shop or make phone enquiries when dialling their number. Even if the q at the shop is 1 mile long, I go to the front and will get served first, also q number jump to my favour.

That is how singtel make me stay loyal to them...... btw, my average monthly mobile bill is more then $300.

hello any folks here got inside info on when iPhone will be available to M1 & Starhub...

at first say end of last yr, then push back to early 2009, now like no news... my M1 plan finished soon so looking at my options

If you can hold your horses, APPLE is rumoured to be releasing its iPhone 2 (2nd generation iphone, not just firmware upgrade).... in June 2009.

New features include video call over 3G network or iChat over wifi with another iphone user, dual cpu ARM processor, external stereo speakers, .... from macRumours.

but, after using iphone for 4 months, i never look back,... and never look at another phone anymore, ever.

Omnia's user interface is a joke.

If you know someone in Hong Kong, buy the iPhone online via HK Apple online shop... it cost HK$6000.00 (approx S$1200). No plans attached, phone is unlocked. You can use any network operator you wish.

i see. i understand that u can become like a red rewards member if your average monthly is $100 and above. but what about if i have 3 singtel lines under 1 name & the average monthly bill is still less than $100? no rewards? what about multi-line saver? like for 2 lines u get 10% off and 3 lines u get 20% etc. does singtel offer? singtel also does not seem to have this points system, like every dollar spent on your bill is 1 point. then can accumulate points and redeem things.

The red reward is that point system. U can exchange for gift or $ off ur bill. Years back I do lots of overseas call and everyyear I get toi redeem. Not sure there's minimum cap.
