Dishonest car dealer revealed

singapore is one of the place in planet earth that buying a car cost like a BOMB!!!

 

just the other day, went pass a workshop with a half cut jazz from japan!!!!u know how "cheap" to import one?

 

if car is involved in accident in nippon, people just scap them and buy new one!!!

 

we???

 

the lousy sale in 2nd hand car market has only themself to blame!

 

so many of my friend when buying first car, most opt for new car rather than 2nd hand car,why? because of all the story they hearsay!

let me try to share my experience, on a pretty ok experience with second hand dealer

 

 

Feb 2008 i shopped for my first car, a second hand jazz.

 

saw an ad in sg carmart and checked the condition with some friends. registered in may 2005, covered 78,900km and has servicing in KAH mtr workshop, called and verified. one of the most attractive priced at that time in the website.

 

other than noisy fan belt, steering was straight and under the bonnet did not see any welding. tires were worn, body with minor scratches. scratches on rims

 

settled the price and sales guy fixed the aircon belt and threw in a armrest + polish car and remove rashes on rims. front and rear tires were slightly newer but different brands

 

he was pretty straight forward to talk to.

 

 

 

Send for 80k servicing at AD and it was nice to drive.

 

Jan 2009, at 90k, (only door lock actuator and pole light broke down.) just did oil and filter, changed to new set of tires.

 

Aug 2009, at 100k (aircon compressor died, had to clean out whole system and replace compressor. took the opportunity to change rotors and pads plus servicing)

 

Hope this car keep going strong until coe ends.

Was it mainly due to those dealers which they promise $0 Driveaway or giving almost 100% loan all these kind?

 

Any ways to identify them?

Tmr will be going down to showroom and take a look. Then go down Turf Club to look for some.

Hi all. Im back. With empty hands! hahaha...

 

Today i went Turf City to look for 2nd hand cars, Get to know Auto a**na had a Lancer EX 1.5A for sale, But not very like the Gear shift, previous owner change the gear shift to kinda manual Type but it's still can AUTO car. Then stop by and found another EX2.0 GT.. wow... exactly the type im looking for. But 2nd hand... well... might be a good buy or might not be. So be safe , i just take the name card and go off.

 

Then i went to Alexandra Mitsubishi Showroom. Wow packed of people. I saw the 2010 Lancer EX 1.5 and 2.0 . Frankly speaking i like the 2.0A GT much better. But too bad price is a bit steep. So i guess i will get a New Lancer EX 1.5A 2010 model instead. But need to decide before monday as the new COE bidding starts on monday.

Sorry bro. Your car is pretty. But i guess i'll be getting a new one. The sports Model giving quite alot sum of added accessories. Monday go down and bargain for more.

That's what he claims! He said after 10Km he's FC goes as high as 13 km/l. My gf got hers last month only get around 10 km/l, now waiting to see if she can get that too.
