Starting from $50. Also depends whether your car has immobilizer installed or not. If immobilizer is in the picture, it might be harder and more expensive.

If it is just a simple conversion, w/o immobiliser...should be under $70. I did that for auto-gate remote and main door key for around that price.

my friend just did for his toyota rush, cost S$95. his alarm is 4 button kind. not sure model exactly.

I did mine at Sin Ming, no immobilser, $50, duration abt 10mins (excluding waiting) ... hope this helps.

I did mine for $98, last month over@Soxxi, Toh Guan Ave...

 

Mine was a Swift key; they transferred the immoblizer chip into the new flip key casing.

I did the conversion from a normal (ie cheapo alarm module and key with immo transponder) to flipkey. Sad to say,the flipkey though cool-looking was rather heavy. Also, I accidentally dropped the flipkey a few times, and thats it. The immo chip transplanted to the flipkey still works, but the alarm (lock/unlock) no longer worked. The explanation i can think of is that the flipkey shell is a shell only, so when your existing alarm board is transferred over to the flipkey shell, it may not sit properly (or not secured/ill-fitting/no protected sufficiently). hence when the flipkey is dropped, more damage is done than in the original key/alarm shell.

 

So bottom line is if you are interested to mod to flipkey, please be rather careful with the handling of the flipkey afterwards.
