Twofouronenite 1st Gear May 5, 2009 Share May 5, 2009 what could have been the problem if the coolant turns brown? My previous ride coolant is pink, and turn darker shade after a while.
Yeobh 4th Gear May 5, 2009 Share May 5, 2009 The cause can be due to anti freeze mixture too low, water corrosive due to presence of chlorine or combustion gas leaking into the water cooling system
Wpower 1st Gear May 5, 2009 Author Share May 5, 2009 The cause can be due to anti freeze mixture too low, water corrosive due to presence of chlorine or combustion gas leaking into the water cooling system does that mean there is a leak in the air flow somewhere? if after flushing the whole coolant, this still happens, any idea wads wrong? Amortifiedpenguin Clutched May 5, 2009 Share May 5, 2009 IMPT!!! It can mean 2 things- 1 your red coolant is dirty. flush and refil 2 your coolant is NOT even close to red (maybe green) URGENT! check if the coolant is oily. check if the engine oil is milky. engine oil and coolant run very closely in certain parts of the engine. there MAY be a breach somewhere and the coolant may have been contaminated with engine oil and vice versa. better get it fixed soon before it get s worse- ie. piston heads rust due to water in engine oil, cylinder blows. to be safe, send for check asap. not a small matter. Yeobh 4th Gear May 6, 2009 Share May 6, 2009 It means that there maybe a possible minute combustion gases leaking via the cylinder head gasket into the water jacket gallary/jacket areas. ↡ Advertisement
