Mivec9 1st Gear July 3, 2009 Share July 3, 2009 when u pop the hood, and then turn on aircon, are you able identify what is causing the vibration? Could it be the compressor? It may be good to bring it to markcool (at woodlands industrial park) for a check.
Ghostrider 3rd Gear July 3, 2009 Share July 3, 2009 How old is your car and mileage ? Older cars (4th yr) or high mileage cars (close to 100k km) would need to change their engine dampers as they would have harden. This is one of the causes for vibrations. Yuan 6th Gear July 6, 2009 Share July 6, 2009 Recently I noticed that my car vibrate when the Air-Con Cut In. Any suggestion to eradicate this symptom? Either the aircon compressor or the engine mountings. If you switch off the aircon and still vibrating with no erratic idling in yr rpm, most likely it could be your mountings. Jeronleow Neutral Newbie September 25, 2009 Share September 25, 2009 I've the same problem. Mounting is quite new. The vibration is so bad that the whole steering wheel can vibrate. Then air-con slow down then vibration stop. Any idea why?
