  1. Hi guys, just wondering how did you solve your vibration on idle problem despite having changed the engine mountings. The vibration lessen alot but the vibration is still there especially when AC is on. I noticed it only happen when i am on Drive mode. Help and advises would be greatly appreciated.

  3. My lau pok car having some weird issue again, recently I noticed the car starts to vibrates quite badly. But this only happen when the air con compressor kicks in. The vibration seems worse when the car is in the down slope position than in horizontal position. What could be the main issue here?
  4. When pressing brake at higher speed ( about 60 km/hr and above), can hear "ge ge ge" sound and steering wheel vibrating. some time can also feel brake pedal push my foot intermittedly. would you suggest what is the problem? I am driving honda stream thanks.
  5. Only saw one topic in regards to it. But anyone adjusted it. Why? example the cable is slack. But acceleration is fine but very weak to climb up hill and feel acceleration pedal have a mild vibration when accelerating. My mounts is due to be replaced but does it have any link to it.
  6. Hi, I need some advices on help to identifying the problem for my car... Recently I realised that my car tends to vibrate as im quite sensitive to abnormal noise and vibration on my car. This vibration will only appears when I travel at 90km/h and if I reach 100 is more obvious. The vibrations can be felt from the floor board. When I'm traveling slow at maybe 40km/h, I feel the force back like those arcade steering wheel. That means u need to relax and not hold tight. U can feel the steering wheel turning left and right mildly. Try to imagine as is really hard to put it in words. My suspect is the warping of the rim but I wana hear if there are any bigger issues as I took leave tomorrow and wanted to solve this by tomorrow. I just don't feel good and hope it won't escalate to a much bigger issue. Thks
  7. I have a 2006 Hyundai, 5 door, Getz with the 1.6 lt motor and five speed gearbox, the problem is that about 80kms per hour the car develops a vibration you can feel it and hear it. It does not come through the steering and I have had the tyres checked and balanced. It is most noticeable when in fourth gear at 80kms, if you put it into fifth which reduces the engine revs the vibration is not as noticeable, then by the time you get to 100kms the vibration is gone. It is also noticeable when accelerating at lower speeds whilst in second and third gear whilst gaining momentum. Have you any suggestions on what it might be and what should I fix or replace first any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  8. After replacement of 4 pieces of aft mkt brake hoses, drove out of workshop and found my braking problems solved...but steering wheel start to vibrate slightly uopn reaching 80kmh at expressway. Went bk to same w.shop. Checked and infd due to "wear off centric hub ring" as its only 2mm in thickness, plastic ring will wear off over time. Custom make 4 pieces of alluminium Hub ring which fittted perfectly in centre bore and hv wheel balance done on both front tyres. Now the steering vibration at 80kmh still persist! Tyres still in gd condition. What could hv went wrong? Need help...trillion thx in advance!!!
  9. ello guys, Its been a while I got a itchy backside. 2012 early When I first got my ride, it was so unresponsive or power come so late n sudden especially start off from slope climbing up. R.i.s.k wasca good fix 2012 end Install just koh power charger. Ride feels like the aircon was off I think around same time went for qfr when further smoothen the beastily force of R.I.S.k 2013 oct Compressor kaput and I think it causes a few electronics in the car to go as well. Replaced some small items like signal bulb etc etc....since then, car vibrates violently. Fc suffer and ride quality gone. 1 2 gear acceleration was juddering badly. All these make me toying with idea of changing ride and keep telling myself car is old and getting sick. 2014 April Read on epowersystem and scalar wrap. Reviews that says good, people attack. Reviews that says bad, people attack x 2. I remember the days when I play with hifi, sim lim tower was selling capacitor look a like that opens up the soundstage. I bought a few of those capacitor for my hifi and it does give me an entire sound stage to listen to. Reviews were the same.....attacks. That lays my interest on scalar wrap. It works on theory similar to altering emf I believe. From the return email by the installer, There are 4 options to scalar wrap Take note, it is just like a few rubber like "ferret" clamp. 1. Few pieces on the battery output 2. Few pieces on the sparky plug cables. 3. Few pieces on the fuel injector tube I think 4. Few pieces on the fuel tube. and some other higher priced options.... As someone who likes to observed minutes changes, I go ahead and install option 1, preparing to write off the money. But who knows, right after installing, just 1 round at the carpark, I notice vibration had died down to a very big extend. Installer offer to let me try more stuff but I told him I do not want more as I like to appreciate changes over period of time. Then I drove to my next destination, my ride feel before the compressor change had come back. Its very responsive now with bulk of the vibration gone. Text the installer immediately to feedback on it. One thing, now I need a longer braking system, really, because the car is more willing to move minus those vibration. Conclusion thus far, its worth it, compared to voltage stabliser to power charger, it below the price of these item. What price right? You get in touch yourself with the installer. Search for his web. Epowersystem.com I think. Next, I am going to monitor the fc to see if it will be back to before. A. Will take out my just koh power charger, I believe its already dead although led still light up B. Remove my self diy grounding cables. C. Add on option 2 3 4 over the next 3 months probably. D. Try the next 3 higher priced options if monthly allowance can make it. I think enough to get me a new feel every other month till end of year. I am not related to the installer, just sharing something I tried. Update fc in few weeks time.
  10. Fellow bro, Would like to find out if any avante driver experiencing quite strong vibrations during when the car is idling. I've changed the engine mounting few months back n it seemed the improvement is not much. I've heard about ignition coils misfiring n tat might cause the vibration. Any bro who encountered this prob b4? Any tell tale signs and recommended ws to solve dis prob? Care to share abt the damage? Thanks in advance
  11. Hi guys, need some advise on this issue: Last week i went back to TTS for my 10K servicing. After few days of driving, i then realised that i can feel the whole steering vibrating (juttering) when i apply my foot on the brakes while slowing down and stopping. Is this abnormal? Before servicing i didn't have this issue. what could have they done to my car?
  12. Need advice, bros. Besides on-wheel balancing, is there any other way solve steering vibration at high speed (>120km/h)? Is camber or toe adjustment necessary after a +1 rim upgrade?
  13. my Opel combo 2007 1.3 Auto when idling has vibrations. when i accelerate abover 2k rpm, the vibrations is very serious and the worst is the loud grinding noise. but once i reach desired speeds and releases the trottle, the vibrations and sound subsides. is this a clutch or engine mounting problem?
  14. Hi guys,asking on behalf of my bro-in-law. His 2nd hand 2006 AMT Lancer GLX vibrates quite noticibly when it's idle and gets worse when he engages reverse gear.at one point,during reversing up a small slope,his car totally stalled.and i could also notice that the RPM drops when the vibration starts. Car is totally stock and engine mounting is all ok. Can any GLX owners help me in this matter?Many thanks in advance.
  15. Need some advice.......just this month in Mar i've noticed car vibrates when its at stop. The vibration is stronger than before thus noticing it now. Car is 2.5yrs old with mileage at 45k. Just changed engine oil (Mobile1 green) a 2 weeks ago but vibration occurrence started before that. Is there any cause to be worried? Coz it just came this month and past 5mths driving didn't had such (stronger) vibration on any instances.

Have anyone encounter this problem, when driving at around 90 to 110, it vibrate intermittently, when i release gas and step again , the vibration goes off but will come back again after some km. Could it be the spark plug as the last time I change is over 30k km? Forget to add if I accelerate during the vibration, the car vibrates even more violently, it only stop when I release and step the gas again.

Hi all, i have a headache on my car, hope to get some help or advise Brought this Lancer EX 1.5 car a while ago, drive around and feel have vibration (personally dont like vibrations) rating the vibration density as 35/100 so butt itchy go check my engine mount at a amk autopoint work shop then workshop claims that 3 mount is broken - 100k car 3 years old. Went JB Stockist they only have inspira 1.8L NON ORIGINAL engine mount so brought to try ~ 130sgd, went back to the autopoint workshop he installed then found that 3 matches but 1 dont so lan lan have to ask him to order that 1 piece which he claims to be original to fit in. At night collect car feel than vibration got worse density 90/100 paid $250 for the labour and 1 original mount (so now 3 inspira 1 original) Drive for a day really bei ta han, go back to him then he suggest non original mount have such problem so i said ok then change the other 3 mount to original also then, at night collect paid another $380 for the 3 original mounts and labour (all 4 original) Tested the car, vibration reduced drastically density 5/100, so drove off 1st day - perfect 5/100 2nd day - perfect 5/100 3rd day - vib starts to increase density 20/100 4th day - 40/100 5th day - 50/100 1 week later till now - 75/100 went back to autopoint he said all is original liao also cant figure out what is wrong, i asked him to check screw tightening, he refix 3 easier enigine mount vibration become slightly better 70/100 but still vibrating a lot, asked him why 1st 2 days ok then after that become worse and worse he say might be what sensor here and there but i dont make sense when it works perfect for 2 days and before i change mount the vibration also much lesser than now, change and become worse. then he say put car and wait which i didnt as i highly doubt his efficency Now after 1 more week vibration becomes 80/100 le, then in D density is 80/100, in R density is 90/100 in N density is around 70/100. Thinking of going to stockist personally to change the engine mount to all original again what do you think? Please help i already wasted $720 for this problem that usually people spend $600 on. and new original mount is gonna waste me $600 again
  18. I'm getting this quite regularly now. After the engine is started, at 1500RPM -- no vibration. After warming up, at 1100rpm, -- can feel engine vibrates. After engaging D gear, -- no vibration. What is the most likely cause? Notes: 1 - Car is 4 years old @ 84K mileage. 2 - Last major servicing about 1.5 years ago including decarbonization, fuel injector cleaning with regular 6 months oil change interval.
  19. Hi A few months back CnC replaced a defective engine mount in my 1yr old forte. There was some unusual vibrations coming from the steering wheel and driver seat. After the replacement the vibration has lessened but i can still feel this pulsating vibration from the driver/passenger seat. This is pretty noticable when the aircon is on and in idle with the gear in 'D' At 'P' or 'N' the vibration is minimal. ITs quite frustrating cos i'm not sure if its normal to have such vibrations or is something wrong with the car?

  21. Hi guys! I need some help. I bought a set of 2nd hand tyres and replace them at city tyre shop (cause its around 10pm at night at others are closed already). When the mechanic did the balancing, he told me one rim got vibration and true enough there is vibration at low speeds and noise. Its most intense at around 60KM/H. As I went higher the vibration is no longer felt. Its not felt thru the steering wheel but the pedals. I am just wondering if its due to rims or the tyres or the balancing? Cause the car was fine prior to changing tyres. I also notice the guy added alot of weight on each rim, around 70-80g. All 4 rims so badly unbalanced?

  23. Just today I discovered that the whole of my car began to vibrate when it is stationary in D mode. Not sure what happens. This vibration is more obvious when my aircon is switched on. When the aircon is off, the vibration is lesser. Compressor is about 1 year plus old from AD. Regularly change my aircon filter at every 10k mileage during servicing. Apart from this, when it is in P mode or driving or reversing, everything remains normal. Ride is about 3 years old. Like to seek some help on this. Thanks in advance!
  24. What are the possible causes for vibration after the ATF flush and change of gasket, when the car is stationary at D with foot brake depressed? Thanks
