Last time uncle buy the Johnson wax for cars... you remember ?

never try but tried formula 1 glass cleaner...the after-wipe finish looks funny....looks shiny but matt.

I think you're right , now that I recall there is still some of their products that was sold in NTUC and some heartland department store.Except that locally it's marketed under a dark blue entity.

Formula 1 is made in USA, via contract manufacturing by another co.

 

Formula 1 GOLD is available in Carrefour, a rather good off-the-shelf multi-purpose wax

actually I'm just curious why this brand marketing was so inconspicuous .It has been around for so long but couldn't find any review or write up in any car detailing forums .

ya true... but I know this is really old brand...

 

Because during my dad's uses Johnson wax, he knows about it. Maybe last time internet not so popular, people never give feedback.

 

Now, the power of marketing... more brands are starting to dominate the market. eg. Meguiars

 

Actually, Johnson company is family run business, very successful in USA. If you know your window & bathroom cleaner such as Windex, Mr. Muscle... is products by Johnson Company.

yalor 15~30 years back , there isn't much choices on car care products and all are less informed.Either they depend on 'words of mouth' or the fanciful words they use on the bottle to attract customers..

 

So in conclusion , the johnson brand for car care are just a 'general' purpose products.
