After hearing and seeing numerous negative feedback on BMW, I'm starting to have my doubts....

Problem is a test drive alone will not tell you how much trouble you may face a few years down the line, and feedback is all we've got.

The negative comments you heard or saw, are they local?

To TS, if you are comparing brand to brand, without talking about specific model within that brand, BMW is a much stronger one, imo.

In Singapore, BMW sells about 3 times more than Audi, though Audi has been putting in millions in marketing, the brand awareness has increased for sure (if not the marketing folks should be fired after spending millions) but it takes time.

Nowadays BMWs so common on the roads. "Angel Eyes" everywhere.

Audi styling is now the craze. So many cars fix LEDs to copy Audi.

Both are good image for younger guys.

If your budget is high, then both has really good stuff to offer.

If the budget is low, I think BMW is better, lower end Audi are FWD, not as fun to drive.

BMW of course.

Look at SG and global sales figures. Enuf said.

BMW's F/R RWD, near 50-50 balance setup is hard to beat. Not to mention their superbly-stable IL6 engine.

Audi must be quattro ... all the entry-level FWD Audis just not in the same league as BMW and Merc.
