Serag15 Neutral Newbie December 17, 2009 Author Share December 17, 2009 the one not applicable to SG cars is the "maximum of 20L of petrol in tank when exiting malaysia" but the cap of 20L everytime you pump within 50km is still applicable,, I quote the sentence Johor Baru MP Datuk Shahrir Samad said it was an excellent decision as the ruling allowing foreigners to buy only 20 litres of petrol within 50km of the border was impractical. Shull Turbocharged December 17, 2009 Share December 17, 2009 (edited) I quote the sentence Johor Baru MP Datuk Shahrir Samad said it was an excellent decision as the ruling allowing foreigners to buy only 20 litres of petrol within 50km of the border was impractical. i have a feeling, the MP might have misunderstood whatever came down from the top.. http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=...;sec=parliament With the ruling, he said, only Singapore-registered vehicles were allowed to leave Malaysia with more than 20 litres in their tanks as the authorities in the republic had already imposed a ruling that all vehicles crossing its borders must have their tanks at least three-quaters full of fuel. However, he said, if these vehicles needed to refuel within the 50km radius of the Singapore-Malaysia border, they were allowed to buy not more than 20 litres of fuel. anyway, it's not gonna affect us much..with our 3/4 tank ruling, the most we can pump is about 20L nia..unless those who chiong in with near empty tank or mod needle lah.. Serag15 Neutral Newbie December 17, 2009 Author Share December 17, 2009 Bro, I got that feeling too that he quoted wrongly...... but I started looking at the MY news because my MY supplier told me in the morning that the ruling was cancelled and apply only to the thai border as the smuggling of oil are from that side.. Nikicat Neutral Newbie December 17, 2009 Share December 17, 2009 Just curious, what is to stop us from pumping at 2 stations on one visit. My 3/4 tank can fill about 25L, so it is 20L at one station and 5L at another.

Flyerking 3rd Gear December 17, 2009 Share December 17, 2009 i just heard from radio that someone was already CAUGHT and lucky given warning for pumping more than 20 litre of petrol into his car. They wont station people to check but they will wait at some corner in plain clothes or even inside the pump counter.. once your litre reaches 20 and if you still pump, you have broken the law. i pumped today morning and the 2 counter staff kept looking at my vehicle when i am pumping.. when it reaches 19++ liter.. they start to open their eyes big big as if warning me something. lucky my tank already full.. pumped 19.45 litre. Chey....so easy. Pump 20ltrs first, then move on to make a few right turns, left turns to reach the next kiosk. Make sure no cars follow you. Then pump another 20ltrs. Jbee have petrol kiosk all over the place, almost every corner got one...........wana pump so easy. haha Someore Jbee petrol so cheap 5ltrs costs u maybe $3+ nia..........can give you at least 50km of aimless driving. More than enough to shake off any folowers. haha. Edited December 17, 2009 by Hiphiphoray

Goldenlion66 Neutral Newbie December 20, 2009 Share December 20, 2009 I Think they can solve this problem with a simple way! Just issue a "C.O.E." or slip at the entry which it bare the car plate no. One car can only pump One time of 20 litre when surrender the slip to the petrol kiok ↡ Advertisement
