Anyone saw the show just now? I roughly recall that there was this segment on how to jump start a car with dead battery. Thought I saw the technician demo that jump start cables are to be attached to the + and - of both cars. Did I see wrongly? Jump start cable must attach to the engine block (earth) of the car with dea battery right?????

Connect to body is for safety in case of spark, and you wouldn't want spark near a battery. But sometimes, connecting to body may not give enough juice. So direct connection to -ve is use.
